We just couldn't cope. The first minute Rosh (which if i didn't DC at the start/was a little quicker we could have really troubled them there) coupled with the pure push we just didn't know what to do. We couldn't farm lanes because they were just pushing towers as a 5, Natures Prophet was too on the ball if anyone did try to get some solo farm, we just got outplayed.
The game lasted 16 minutes (and we were starting to come into it, with winning a few fights holding high ground) but we just congratulated them. It was well executed in the end.
They said they have won in 7 minutes 40 with it, so it's clearly well practiced!
You need counterpush against this kind of strat. Your team didn't have any. Your picks were horrible against a pushing lineup. One of the main concerns in professional games is "do we have enough counterpush?". Think about it when you pick heroes, especially against an obvious pushing lineup with Furion, Enigma and Pugna. Hell, even BM and Luna are pushers.
You need spammable AOE nukes or cleave to clear creep waves quickly. Items like Maelstrom or Battle Fury on carries. Sure you take damage from killing the melee necro creep but it's still worth it (even if you die by killing a bunch of necro creeps you still get 200 gold for each so it's well worth dying for). Get AOE, clear creep waves, get tons of farm. You need to delay the game : it's pretty obvious that a Luna with Necrobook can't carry late xD

Yeah, we were just completely switched off when the picks were being done. We actually said "That's a weird lineup!" Then when we got ingame and saw them all at one tower we kinda went "Ahhhh yeah. Obviously. We're ****ed."
So, basically, don't be idiots in the draft. I was just curious if anyone had some mad counter that could have been possible, but no. It was lost in the draft.

battlefury and maelstrom is not going to do anything. the enemy literally 5mans from before creeps spawn and deathballs you in this kind of strat. there is no time to get these kind of items.
i think you should try to not get distracted and farm up all the heroes that you can, have a/some early fighter(s), dont have a carry that is useless early, and stop them around the time that they want to go highground.
if you manage to stop their highgroundpush and win a fight your chances become much greater, especially with all the new comebackgold that you will get since they have all that towergold. so delay and distract while you farm some other heroes, dont stand behind a tower that will go down anyway. use your limited time well.
this is about stopping a lvl 1 rosh cheezepush aura strat.
not a midgame 25 min lycan strat. and maelstrom or BF wont help when you cant get near their creepwave.
Well unless my eyes are mistaken I'm seeing two necro 2 and one necro 3 :)
And actually fighting under towers and clearing waves works pretty well. I remember some games like this against Brood, you just sit under your tower and manfight any creep waves that get thrown at you. If you can clear waves they can't dive you.
Early Rosh and 5-man at minute 0 is very ineffective. You have no sustain whatsoever. There's no way you can win a 5-man teamfight under an enemy tower with level 2 heroes. Only works against a team with *zero* AOE/counterpush and even then most executions I see of this strat are complete fails.
Generally 5-man push strats are very easy to counter with AOE. The only issue is 5-man split push strats, that's a whole different story, like teams with Furion, Lycan and Brood. Actually 5-man pushing is horribly inefficient, a good push strat will always threaten several towers at once. Well-coordinated split push from 5 heroes with necros is what's really hard to deal with.

haha, missed that prophet necro. :P
but still what is a maelstrom or BF going to do against a strat where the enemy just walks up to towers and kills it?
because fighting them doesnt work. their lineup is made to do it, just had a lvl 1 rosh and is up both gold and XP.
the only thing to do is delay them with AOE and if you have enough and delay them a while you have a change of winning and fight and the game usually off it.
but what hero will be able to fight with a BF or maelstrom when you are behind? the only i can think of is ember, but even he will barely have the time to finish his BF and that without drums.
i would like to have heroes on my team that are hard to fight into early so you can eventually win a fight like brewmaster. not a maelstrom or battlefury hero.
Well actually usual carries who can fight early are generally pretty bad against push lineups, guys like Viper or Templar Assassin will just get overwhelmed...on the other hand farming carries actually do pretty well because they are really designed to clear creepwaves.
Against a push lineup actually Medusa or Gyrocopter are surprisingly good picks, much better IMO that "fighting" carries like Wraith King. Sit behind towers and spam down waves, ez gold.
