Sorry for the profanities, but I hate that Riot just blatantly took the idea without giving any acknowledgement. Worst of all, they stole this idea from a ****ing dota forum. Their brazen action only shows that they spend all their time stalking the forums of their competitors instead of creating their own ideas.

hahaha i read your idea just this morning and i went this sounds like that LOL hero that came in recently ...NAAA he wouldnt have copied that then i checked when u posted it and i was like ......"WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!! holy **** riot stole your idea!" because you posted yours in Feb and they released him the first look at him in May"... admittedly i guess it might take up to 6 months for the skins animations and syncing but still .... crazy coincidence.

...and that, kids, is why dota will always be better than LoL.

No but seriously, half of me in saying it's a funny coincidence and the other half is saying that Riot stole the idea.

Riot steals nearly everything from DotA. That much is true.

I don't appreciate the blind hatred of Riot. Apart from the shield ability, they are completely different. Whilst I will admit riot does things wrong, this is NOT one of them.

If Riot tried to copy it, they would change enough of it so that it becomes "original" in a sense, but still retains the elements that make it unique, like the shield and the playstyle (protecting front lines well while dealing decent damage and disabling, but cannot reach the back line).

Now that I think about it, it should just be some weird coincidence. At the time, I felt hurt that a company I hated seemingly stole my idea to use it as their own. Imagine if you made an awesome project for the science fair of which you are very proud, and then some mega giant corporation takes it, tweaks it a little to make it seem as though it is different but yet retains the same qualities, then sells it without any mention of your name. It's a pride thing, yes, but we all have something to be proud of, and this idea is mine. I wouldn't want anyone to grab a hold of it without any permission or credit.

That was the past. When I take another look, I now feel assured that my ideas can work in-game, even if the game was created by a company I despise, and I'm driven furthermore to create more ideas :D.
