Does Valve read DOTAFire to get suggestions from players, or is it just sort of a help site for players?

I am pretty sure they know something about this site (the crew that is working on Dota2), but I rather doubt that they take any advice from here. This site is not only for players that need help, but it's for whole Dota community, that is willing to discuss the complexity of that game.

It's also for entertainment - we can look at this game with humour and basically have fun. We argue, we fight and we agree with each other on different subjects.

A lot of ultimate ideas they just added were mentioned in our hero ideas section, so I wouldn't be surprised if Valve is checking this site up from time to time, no other site has better hero ideas.

Reddit does, and the Huskar rework comes right from the suggestion of a Reddit user if I'm not wrong. I don't know if they check this site, but as said above this place is more oriented towards helping players (guides, matchmaking help, explanations of in-game mechanics etc.), while there's much more arguing about op Heroes and Hero reworks on Reddit.

I'm pretty sure the Huskar re-work was concepted on JoinDOTA...who pays attention to reddit? 8{3
