I remember watching a competitive team some time ago (can't remember which one, maybe KaiPi?) running mid Zeus multiple times with Arcane Boots, Bracer and Veil of Discord: they managed win more than once, so a "Veil rush" is actually good if it works even for the pros.

I usually try to concentrate on the Force Staff though, since early mobility is what makes this Hero so threatening in the mid game: most of the time your foe manages to escape with low health, so an extra Lightning Bolt from a distance can get you so many kills you wouldn't have gotten without a Force Staff. Another build I tried focuses on high movement speed with Phase Boots, Drum of Endurance and Eul's Scepter of Divinity (more or less what you do): I find it really cost-efficient and easy to build, especially because Eul's basically solves your mana issues.

About the Black King Bar, I think it's pretty situational because Zeus has very high HP for being an INT Hero, and unless the enemy has lots of disables you'd better pick a component for a Vyse/Shiva's or even an Aghanim's Scepter if you're stomping.

If you want to make good use of the Veil I'd suggest Arcane Boots, Force Staff and Veil of Discord in this order.


You're half wrong: a tornado at the right time can make you land an extra Lightning Bolt, plus you can disable a Hero of your choice (may it be the carry or an initiator) for 2.5 seconds! Still, as you say, I wouldn't pick it without Phase and Drums: a Force Staff is much better if you don't want to go racecar.

Ya even i agree euls is a major support item and should be bought if u intend to play support. Get dagon instead much better option as you are a nuker.

Something I see a lot of recently is blink dagger. It's not something that I get and I've seen it work to varying degrees. I've seen one guy feed horribly (16 deaths iirc) but I've seen others absolutely destroy with it. I only mention this because no one else has.
