Random Ability Draft Question

So I have a question about something peculiar I found in random ability draft. I was playing it and got Kunkka. So one of the skills I got was searing arrows. Kunkka's attack was melee, however the damage was ranged. So my question is, would a battlefury work in that scenario? Thanks in advance for answering! :D

Never tried this in Dota 1 but, no splash damage only works on melee not range, so doing it won't be worth it, but you can have +65 Damage, +6 HP/sec Regeneration, +150% Mana Regeneration.

Searing arrows is an orb effect so you would deal the extra damage. Battle fury does not splash orb effects so the searing arrows would not get splashed.

My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.

I think the answer is actually more complicated than this.

I recently played a random draft with a pa with crit and frost arrows. I bought a bfury(how could I not) and it worked with the frost arrows. The frost didn't cleave, and it seemed like it may not have cleaved at full range, but it was really hard to tell in battle because I picked up liquid fire too.

Anyone got the answer?
