Invis heroes will seem very overpowered when you're first leveling through the lower brackets, but there are many ways to counter this. Dust of Appearance Sentry Ward Gem of True Sight reveal all of them, which will help you punish those heroes (minus slark in his ulti) whom are more than likely just standing around waiting to pounce.

I advise learning how to constantly counter these here's with the items mentioned above, and avoid playing them (especially riki) until you have a solid grasp of game mechanics and positioning, because early on, abusing invisibility will work, but you will develop bad habits and eventually get punished by coordinated teams and players with the sense to counter you.
Any other questions just add me on steam [RZA]Sulaxrox
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

I would also add a rather important thing: if you're playing support against those kind of Heroes, always prioritize invisibility detection ( Dust of Appearance and Sentry Ward) over anything else! Since they also have to buy Observer Wards, the average support does well even with Boots of Speed, Magic Stick and a Town Portal Scroll; upgrading Boots usually comes at the 10-15 minute mark or even later. Always try to have at least one support in your team, especially versus Riki and the likes as supports are perfect for carrying Dust and Wards.

But even if you aren't supporting, that 180 gold you spend on two dust charges can get you two kills that are worth way more than 180 gold. Or save you twice. Or Both.

if i also may add some general advise - and especially something to do when up versus Riki:

ALWAYS CARRY A Town Portal Scroll!!!

and i mean it.... ALWAYS! Riki has no means to cancel a TP by himself. Also: if one of your teammates get ganked by him in towerrange you can instantly teleport and make rikis life miserable, making him think twice before ganking so carelessly.

Just carry a Dust and pop it when Riki is around. In my opinion the hero is so useless, it's almost as if it comes with a default 15% slow. Needs a buff IceFrog!

It seems like a lot of new players play Riki and think hanging NEAR another player is a grand idea.
The recent ones I've seen are typically hanging around their team mate carries and try to clean-up or kill steal. They don't really seem to know what they are doing, especially when a weak support runs around and Riki is now where to be found.

The better ones I've seen create that oh-so-lovely "he could be AnYwHeRe" feeling.

Then again, I really don't see too many Riki plays anymore. *shrugs*

PS: For the noob Rikis... Get a gem. Its hilarious when they keep coming after you and getting wasted.

Speaking of Rikimaru, I think (currently) he is being a major pubstomper especially when head to head with players with a low skill-level. I get into a match and there is a couple of inexperienced players, and they are raging sooo hard cause' a Rikimaru is on the other team. But then if Riki is facing a handful of players who know what they are doing, HE IS SCREWED. Get a Gem of True Sight or some Sentry Wards [place the wards around the map]. No way Riki can win in teamfights or solo's (unless the other hero has little farm. SO overall, Riki is drawing attention to other players and new people are picking him, just so the other team doesn't have him. Which is kind of disappointing, because that Riki could be replaced with a much better, all-around hero like a TA or something. And, yeah. That is pretty much it.
Thanks <3
