Outworld Devourer - Kunkka (who actually has a poor win/loss ratio in competitive) and especially Razor.
The problem with Kunkka is that OD can just hug the Creep Wave while Harrassing Kunkka, then just Astral Imprisonment him, when he goes to Tidebringer, move to the side of the Creep Wave, then rinse and repeat.
Imo, Sniper is the best solution to OD (after Razor), long range means you shouldn't be letting him Astral Imprisonment you too often, while you steadily increase your Range and Harrass him more and more. With a full supply of Mana, you can still threaten him with Assassinate, or use [[Shrapnel] to slow him down, while you chip away at him with Auto-Attacks whenever he's out of position.
Dark Seer can generally be a pain in the **** with Ion Shell against any Melee Hero, and if you don't Crippling Fear him, he'll just [[Surge] away when threatened.
Bristleback and Dragon Knight are really good against Pudge. They've strong nukes, nice base damage and are tanky. If hooked, DK can just stun and walk away, while Bristle can just turn his backs. If Pudge is not careful, he can die easy too.

the problem with picking sniper against od is that you now have a really ****ty hero in your team.
and still od has much higher base damage. and later can destroy him with his ult and 3 5 shot him with the orbs.
kunnka can do fine against od, just click on him so the creeps aggro you, they will walk close to you so you can attack them.
later kunnka offers much more to the team even with less items.
my point is, never pick sniper (or drow ranger for that matter) you wont do your team any favours.
Pudge is a decent mid-lane hero, however if you deny him his mana early on and keep him from hooking he's not a threat in the slightest. I usually run Silencer mid and harass with Curse of the Silent to decrease his mana pool.
As this hasn't been mentioned yet Lone Druid is supposed to be a good counter to OD mid as he can harass him out of range with the bear. For pudge any hero with controlled creep like things around them can be good against pudge. For example Enigma, Nature's Prophet, etc.

Ofcourse, lone druid. Od can only imprison one of the bears. Lone druid doesnt care about mana and when OD gets rooted he can be solo killed.
But then again, lone druid pretty much wins all 1v1's.
Pudge really isnt that strong of a mid. All proper mids should win against him. The point is that pudge doenst need much farm. He is only mid for the levels.
Necrolyte passive is good vs pudge, just have to stay in creep range and take last hit, his healt goes down very quickly in this way. The problem mid is not pudge to me, cause a simple ward can ease your lane, something like outworld devourer is a problem, and i suggest sniper versus destroyer, sniper do not use any mana in the early game and mini stuns will help you a lot, even the awesome range attack allow to play safe vs outworld. A templar mid can be countered with some aoe stun such as tiny to me, still a lane hard to handle since its ranged vs melee, rush the bottle asap in this case. Night stalker need to stay in lane mid 4 min and then go roaming, if you deny this first farm he will be in trouble for sure(i love playing stalker), sniper again a good counter versus stalker, pudge too
