I actually own this OS (bought with completly new PC) and I can say I really love it, more than I do with XP or W7. It's much faster, the only difference in usage is this funny UI showing at startup, which I use only once a day to switch to desktop (normal one like in previous versions).

EDIT. Someone said somewhere, that OS must be intuitive and easy to learn and use. Actually OS like this is most intuitive, with options hidden in corners of screen, and I learnt how to use it after one day of usage.

Does it have errors with Dota 2? Have any errors with Dota2 and Window 8 been reported?

Because the enthusiasts don't like it, and what the enthusiasts say is what most believe.

I personally don't like it, there's some good back-end optimizations to it over Windows 7 and the removal of the 16GB RAM cap is nice, but the new UI I just find painful to use on a mouse/keyboard. There are options like Classic Start and Start8 to restore it basically to Windows 7 UI, but still.
"Windranger" is not how you spell Windrunner.

The main problem is that it smacks of Microsoft's arrogant "we know best" attitude to design and gives you very few options to configure it the way you want to use it. It's great on a touchscreen tablet but it's pretty awful on a mouse and keyboard. Thanks but no thanks.

My wife has W8 on her laptop. When I tell you that just moving the mouse around using the trackpad is difficult, believe me. It's like trying to hit someone with Pudge's hook while being creep blocked. SO ANNOYING! At least to her and myself anyways.
