If he's ported soon, and made readily available in CM, does anyone anticipate him making an impact in the pro scene? I think he's an immensely powerful carry that can capitalize on early kill opportunities in an aggressive trilane.
Any thoughts?
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

He is actually very defensive. The Reflection depends on the strength of the enemy, and Conjure Image depends on his own strength. The only real power he has early game is Metamorphosis, but that also has 160 cooldown.

He needs the early farm, and then nothing stops him. Spectre please, I just Sunder you.

Been a long time since WC3 dota, but he was considered one of the hardest carries in the game and the best 1v1 carry-killer hands down, due to Reflection and Sunder. He turns the enemy's strength against them, so he scales both his own abilities and the enemy's (if that makes any sense).

He wasn't a popular pick in competitive and I doubt he will be when released, mainly because of his insane farm requirements (equal or more than void/dusa) and weak early game (especially compared to Alchemist, Lifestealer, etc). TB was the kind of hero that you picked when you knew both teams would try to outcarry each other, and 60 minutes was a given. I can't see him ever getting sufficient farm in comp games (unless the "4 protect 1" strat becomes popular again) to make a real impact.

Doubt he will make it into the pro scene.

Firstly, he needs a lot of farm. (Go pick Spectre instead)

Second, although his skills are good, his cooldown, however is just much too long. Although early kill is possible, he needs to have good supporters (mainly nukers and stunners).

Third, he can be easily shut down by stuns and silences, especially in early games. This will normally lead to him taking a tri-lane and thus making your movements more obvious to your enemies and they will easily whip up a way to counter you... HARD.

He will probably be remade (for the 90th time) before getting ported.

Oh yeah, I remembered at one time he have Life Steal (Drains HP, like Pugna's Ulti), Conjure Image and Metamorphosis along with Sunder.

Then, he gets Reflection, Zeal, Metamorphosis + Conjure Image together and Sunder

And now, back to Reflection, Conjure Image, Metamorphosis and Sunder.

Maybe Valve is waiting for Ice Frog to change him again. He might be the last few heroes to be released.

He actually has concept art released, so not sure about him being the last to be released.

Dunno. But skills and stuff keeps changing so maybe after 2 - 3 releases of DotA vanilla maps?

If none of the abilities are changed during its release into Dota2, then he will not be a top pick.

Reasons why

Extremely squishy, starting base health is worse than Sniper
No nuke or ways to escape like other carries
He needs a lot of farm to begin fighting back, probably more farm than Medusa
Cooldown for Metamorphosis is EXTREMELY long and it's only a regular ability
Cast range for Reflection is incredibly short, 250 range
Sunder cost a ton of mana at level 1 and 2

I hope to see him tweaked then, maybe if they reworked him similar to how they kinda made him in HoN (maliken), although icefrog confirmed he wasn't ported rather influenced a hero. He's just too damn awesome to not see any play, hell I'm still curious to see if the Chinese play medusa again, considering their former play in the original dota and their natural propensity to play 4 protect 1
