If he does get a radiance, it also means quicker luxury items and a bkb, so by 30 min hell probably be damn near unkillable, and he's very hard to counter with a dazzle early, because it allows him the freedom to farm and harass while really not suffering very much at all, and again agreeing with porygon361 on warpath, it's underrated, and he has much more late potential than people give the hero credit for, but again the same was said for his port in HoN, and it was a wrecking ball in that game because people would farm fast as hell and just roll early (shadowwave+spines = dead creeps) and bristle can tank creeps easy when his lane is pulled back, just kiting them with spines
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

Dazzle isn't great in a trilane, but with any other disabler and a suitable aggressive carry his heal will destroy heroes and offer more sustainability to your carry, and with Bristleback, you have stacking slows, stacking armor debuffs, and if they get close you have a heal.
Warpath is wayyyy overlooked, farming with bristle isn't too hard, with phase boots you'll have unrivaled pursuit while ignoring towers because BB doesn't care about those.
Radiance is fantastic as well, burn damage on top of his slow and stacking spines, haha good luck bringing him down before he wipes a team

Why do you get Phase Boots on Bristleback? Its completly dumb, you have to spam spells, and the phase effect gets canceled each time you cast a spell.

If youre spamming spells early on with his poor mana pool and don't take warpath at lvl 6, you wont be going very fast, it helps, and doesnt take long to build, adds damage...
Even with warpath, phase boots give you better ability to close the gap to use your spells..im quite aware of canceling phase, but getting there faster works for me, than i can slow, and spam quills, proc warpath, all that good stuff.
What about in team fights? Well yea wont need phase in team fights, but again what if you TP and theyre furthur away? Phase boots get you there faster, hey i could be dumb, but there are a lot of people building stupid things like blademail on him, im not gonna call them dumb for building an item that deters people from attacking you when you want them to, so more spines proc...its all personal preference.

I didn't call you dumb, I called the choice dumb.If you want speed, get drums.

P.S: I am really sorry if I made you feel offended by my post, that wasn't intentional at all.

Yea drums work quite well on BB, Id still use phase boots even if only for unit walking and positioning...I'm my experience the boots have their merits with Rigwarl..
I apologize for jumping on the "dumb" comment, better worded, I meant essentially: don't automatically just call a build or item dumb, the train of thought is different, regardless I don't necessarily default to 1 set of boots, and im generally game to try unusual, or "non-standard" builds .

On the other point, dazzle in lane with Rigwarl, any thoughts? Or any thoughts on how dazzle was considered underrated and under-utilized ?

Dazzle was never considered underrated, but he is underrated, but he is actually very good.Dazzle in lane with BB? Maybe, but a better lane set-up would just eviscerate them.

Yea, basing my opinion on their laning on Heroes of Newerth was a bad call, looking at the possible aggressive laning compositions in the current DoTA 2 competitive environment. I can picture a visage smoking a dazzle, and chasing him down with familiars after shallow grave wears off..or something like Gyrocopter bursting down BB with rocket barrage pretty easily.
