What happens to our current record....and most specially the items we have?

Any ideas?

Well, I would assume that our current record/profile would stay the same, seeing as when Battle Points were implemented everyone kept their number of wins and stats, but were all level 1. Levels don't matter when it comes to matchmaking, by the way.

As for the items, what logical reason would there be for us to lose our cosmetics?

Valve said that they wanted to "ease" Dota 2 into launch. This is probably one of the reasons they did so.
