What happened to lycan??

Hey guys, i recently had interest in trying out lycanthrope but i heard he got nerfed hard and cant jungle anymore, but he has a pretty good skill set and i have seen him dominate games so is there anyone who can show me the pro way to play lycan??

Anyone telling you that Lycanthrope can't jungle anymore is wrong. He's still a pretty good jungler, he just has to take a couple hits from the creeps now. Just rush Vladimir's Offering, and follow up with Power Treads and Skull Basher, and you'll be fine.

We don't see him anymore because his wolves need to be micro'ed in order to be effective, and not many people can micro properly.

Same reason we dont see chen and meepo :P

And Enchantress.. and Visage.. many good heroes :D.

That's not the same. Lycan requires the most minimum of micro skills compared to those heroes. Chen, Meepo, and Enchantress all have to have separate groups in order to micro your creeps as single units and their activated abilities while Lycanthrope is just three right-click units. Chen and Enchantress also rely on the jungle creeps while Lycan is reliant strictly on his ability to just rotate his 3 units when one gets low.

I think the reason we don't see him is because his jungle is not as secure anymore and is actually heavily susceptible to jungle invading. One thing people don't realize though, his laning is actually excellent and as a hard carry and a pusher, opting out for running him as your safe laner isn't a bad choice. He has great lane control because of his wolves, able to harass while you have someone stack/pull or juke behind for an easy nuke or disable.

Lycan's still a damn good hero, just not as OP as he was (used to be ridiculous when wolves > support heroes @7). The thing is that his early jungling speed isn't great, really he's a semi-jungler now, lane for a few levels and then he's good to go jungle if necessary. Still a top carry.

Anyone who says that lycan is still a damn good jungler is just kidding himself.
The nerf hit him real hard. Even if you micro your wolves they will in about 3-4 hits, not enough time to kill a camp. What you CAN do is stack camps like crazy when you go safe lane lycan and after you reach level 7 farm up those camps.
An alt if you really wanna play jungle lycan is to get a bottle, you will regen up real fast from tanking creeps along with your wolves and they provide great rune control.
