Question is in the title really. At what point do you stop being a noob? Do you go by level, wins, item knowledge, hero knowledge, amount of games, all of the above or is it one of those questions that you just know when you get there?
Purely a subjective answer. For some people, you suck unless you are a pro. Others may just want to maintain a decent win/loss ratio. Some may be content with simply contributing in a solo queue. Or maybe if you hit the line just below pro you are no longer a noob. I could go on and on with other "scenarios" to define one's level of "noobness."
Understanding I am at the complete bottom of the skill-totem-pole for dota 2, this is a common question in many competitive games. I am more concerned with my own abilities growing rather than some person I don't even know's opinion on my play. There is always someone who is gonna think you suck, hell there are people who think some "pros" suck.
I usually consider a person a "noob" when they have less that 100 wins, after that amount of matches (~200, considering the losses) someone should know more or less how all the Heroes work: understanding roles, knowing what a support does, how to last-hit and which skills every Hero has should be easy things to remember by that time. And also, but this is restricted to me, I usually consider less skillful people that play only carry or generally don't pick supports even though it means playing with 3-4 carries.
Otherwise, just get a few competent players to play with and listen to them: they will help you a lot! Just keep in mind that not everyone is going to play as in a normal team (which means at least 2 supports and not more than 2 carries) in the low matchmaking queue.
A "noob" is anyone, in any game, in any situation, whom you hold disdain for because of recent (often current) gameplay. The fact of the matter is, you cannot possibly determine who is a "noob" and who's not, because few people are equally skilled across the board of heros. Thus, because not everyone can get the hero they want every time, someone is bound to have a "bad game". If you have a "bad game", you're basically a "noob", until you redeem yourself in front of another entirely random group of people.
TBH, I think there are just players. It doesn't take too long to get to 100 wins ( maybe a few months? ), and after that..... after that people are good, or they suck. There are no "noobs" anymore. Just winners and losers. And the two change positions by the hour.
The truth is that everyone in your team is noob and you are the only good player, just dota is matching you with mindless ******s to show them how to play this game.
PS. Happens to me 100% of the time.
PS2. Every russian is noob and your duty is to call them so.
"When game is going full ******, you can only go with it. If you start going against it, if you start going half ******, you´re ****ing done for. When Aloha decides to go middle rubick you let him, and you start buying orb of venom on invoker. That's how dota works" -n0tail
You are a noob if in a given situation you do not know what to do or what something is. In other words, you're prone to be doing something wrong and you don't even understand why.
Once you're not a noob, there are other things to work on like judgement, execution, etc. You can still suck, but now you should know why without other people explaining it to you.

thank you, this totally made my day.
But srsly. To all those randoms, every single decision u make, that is different from what they would do (if given the same hero / lane or whatever else) will "classify" u as a noob.
"lol y no max ur >first spell<"
"dont take my farm u noob, im the carry" (though ur creepscore is something like 2/14 after 4 mins)
"omfg we need some wards, noob supports" (although they just expired 5 seconds ago)
...i can go on with such things forever....point is: you will get called a noob or u will have "failed" your lane, whenever an other player takes harm from it ....in ANY way!
People in Dota2 are sore losers, and since they "dominated" their lane, they gotta be the pros and every1 else that gave the "noob opponents" an edge over them is a "feeder" or a "noob", regardless of why you feed or what miss plays you make.
Noob isn't really a calculation of skill. It is the description of doing something that you expect a new player to do, or equals the word "idiot" in some people's minds.
Good Question really if you want to have vague examples main ones which are noticable are
Team Configuration
Starting Items (gold efficiency)
Lane Control
and Lastly when you stop standing still and wasting time (ie most of the time in lane)
Other noticable ones are engagement choices which is just situation judgement
But if you have these you aren't really a noob of course there will be more you can improve on but noob pretty much means the above and if you rage you are 98% most likely noob (just from experience)
Subjective information is one person's opinion. In a newspaper, the editorial section is the place for subjectivity. It can be based on fact, but it is one person's interpretation of that fact. In this way, subjective information is also analytical.
Student research papers are usually subjective, in that the writer formulates a thesis statement and uses sources that support that thesis. Bear in mind that there is usually another equally valid viewpoint that can be supported with other sources.
Objective information reviews many points of view. It is intended to be unbiased. News reporters are supposed to be objective and report the facts of an event. Encyclopedias and other reference materials provide objective information.
I believe it's safe to assume that because each of us is attempting to support our personal viewpoint of the term "noob," that this is clearly a subjective topic. That being said, I reflect the opinions of these two on this matter:
You are a noob if in a given situation you do not know what to do or what something is. In other words, you're prone to be doing something wrong and you don't even understand why.
