Is rushing an Aghanim's Scepter as Juggernaut effective?
Or is the Drum of Endurance and Yasha semi-carry build / Normal Battle Fury carry build better?

If you get Aghanim's Scepter first, you'll be ulti dependent, since it'll be your main source of damage. If it's on cooldown, you can't really do anything.

Instead, if you go the other build, after using the ultimate, you can still deal some good damage with your attacks and also you can spin better since you'll have more attack speed from Drum of Endurance and Yasha.

You would only go for scepter if:
1. You are not the primary carry
2. You lack team fight damage

I really don't see the point of making scepter your first big item for jugg.

He deals out decent dmg thanks to his crits that makes him a force to be reckoned with.While scepter does increase the effectiveness of your ultimate,it does nothing to scale up your farming capabilities as the game progresses.

On the other hand,I feel the battle fury is a prime-must item for jugg if he needs to be the prime carry and farm-getter of the team.

Scepter is a luxury item.Something that's good on a jugg when he's already a lot farmed and wants to finish his set of items.

Aghanims/Drums/Phase is a really popular build in the meta right now. The build gives great maneuverability and has a very smooth and easy build up, it gives him all around balanced stats as well allows Juggernaut the solo kill potential he needs early game to farm kills instead of opting out for a battlefury and not being a presence in the early or mid game. Since Juggernaut isn't the best hard carry this build is great for playing mid or as a 2 or 3 on the team.

You primarily buy it for teamfight, the extra 3 slashes add a lot to the overall damage

Agahnim's Scepter is great if you can get it before the 20 minute mark due to the cooldown reduction and extra slashes, but since Omnislash falls off late game, you shouldn't really buy it after that.

Drum of Endurance and Yasha are great items on Jugg, but Battlefury is situational imo.

If you are free farming for the most part early, picking up that Battlefury first can be a great boon to your team by increasing your farm and keeping your MP at an acceptable level.

Otherwise in a contested lane situation the Phase Boots > Drum of Endurance >> Damage Items seems good to me.

You might get good damage from the extra slashs of an Aghanim's Scepter, but at the same token if you can buff your damage and attackspeed with the same gold you can get off extra more powerful slashes while spinning and ulti'ing which offset the extra ulti duration. Plus you arn't dependent on needing ulti up.
