Drow is a **** hero to play mid with. Pretty much every other mid hero cand kick your *** easily.

For instance, i can bet with every single member on this forum that they won't beat me with Drow mid if i play..hmmm... lich/silencer/Nyx/Bat Rider and the list keeps on going? Pretty much every medium to high damage nuke mid hero cand rape Drow since her hp pool is ridiculously low even in higher levels. :)

Protip: If you're having trouble with a small number of specific heroes (such as Drow and Sniper), read some guides for those heroes. It will help you understand the strengths of the heroes (so what to watch out for) as well as their weaknesses (what to exploit) and, usually, heroes that perform exceptionally well against them (in the friends/foes section included in most guides).

For example, I checked a few guides for Sniper on this site and found this list of weaknesses:

Quoted:

(Disgustingly?) bad base damage
Trash movespeed
No survivability skill
Open to getting blinked/waveformed/timewalked/shadow bladed/whatevered
Mediocre usefullness without farm
No escape mechanism

Lifestealer - can slow you down, and can heal with each attack, infest creeps, and have a free bkb, which he could just rage whenever you assassinate, infest whenever hes almost dead, and he could slow you and heal by attacking

Lion - Stun, Hex, And Massive Burst Damage, You're Squishy, Don't Go 1v1 With A Full Mana Lion That Have No Skills On Cooldown

Lina - Like Above, A Stun, But 1 Nuke, And A Burst Damage, You Could Have An Advantage By Moving Around, because the stun have a delay

Luna - Can Harass You Early Game, And Ultimate Hurts Alot And She Have A Great Mini-Stun That Deals Massive Damage

Kunkka - Harass With Tidebringer, Stun And X Marks The Spot Synergies so well, and ultimate will screw you up

Drow Ranger - Drow's Ultimate And Aura Synergies To Deal More Damage, Thus Out-Damaging You, And Can Slow You If You Run Away, Drow Is Much Similiar Like Sniper, But Is Less Item Dependent...

Again, I Don't Feel The Need To Say More, Because Sniper Has Too Many Foes
