lol no, Beelzebub is definitely another name for Satan (even the Google definition says so (so im not interpreting it wrong, 2 dictionaries i have at my house have him in them too(the definition for lucifer has nothing to do with satan, besides describing how he fell(it is a bit odd that that wiki says that Beelzebub and Satan are different, but thats why i dont really trust wiki, there is a bunch of messed up facts on it (it does help get the broader picture though))))) and i thought that the leviathan was the first type of life or w/e that god created or something like that (I'm getting a little off topic (and im most likely wrong about the leviathan thing), so back to the point). When he was in heaven they wouldn't have called him the falling star, so Lucifer is not the correct name, why would they call him "the falling star" if he hadn't fallen? That must mean that they called him that after he fell, so fist they called him by his real name: Satan

(also pls dont reply that i used wiki as a source, i just used it to find out who Lucifer was supposed to be (it didnt really help that well either, because i had to make the assumption that Lucifer is supposed to be Satan, it didnt say it))

If you understand English fine then maybe you should re-read what I said overall and absorb the whole content I posted. You're definitely not understanding my points in the slightest.

Also, as a kid who used to go to sunday school and have to pray before dinner, I can assure you that no Monotheist refers to the Devil as Beezlebub. Even though you didn't catch a lot of my little points, I'm sure you can appreciate that its just some made up lore for a hero, no in-depth backstory, just a short little glimpse of the character.

lol I went to Sunday school too, confirmed and all. I've never heard Satan called "lucifer" once when i was there (only Satan (I've seen "lucifer" in the bible, but as i said, that is not his name, its a mistranslation)), I actually have heard Satan called Beelzebub a multiple number of times, and that doesn't make sense that he would be called lucifer before he fell, and Satan afterwards, when they called him lucifer or "the fallen star" in the bible, they probably had him called that because when he was in heaven they didn't want to ruin heaven by saying his real name (or something like that). But saying that he was first called Lucifer when he was in heaven doesn't mean that that is his name (dictionaries say the definition of Satan is "The Devil; Lucifer", but that is because of the translation thingy (its not his real name, only a nickname (given with the foreshadowing description of what happens to him))). and besides that, in Doom's explanation, it speaks of "Lucifer" after he had already fallen, so what you guys are saying helps me prove my point, that it is wrong, and that it should say Satan instead of Lucifer

Haha no. I didn't use wiki lol. By priest card I meant my priest had explained this about a month ago, ironically. Good answer by the way Nubtrain. I didn't think to include the part about Leviathan and Beelzebub falling along with Lucifer. You're quite right.

I was talking to nubtrain lol, he said he got the info from wiki. Anyways, you guys helped me prove my point that it is wrong, if he was "Lucifer" when he was in heaven and he became Satan when he fell, then the name in Doom's explination should be Satan because he had already fallen.

(also either the bible translation or all dictionaries really need to be looked over if Beelzebub isn't supposed to be Satan, because ive found definitions saying that he is satan, and others saying what nubtrain said (the official definitions all said that he was satan however (im getting confused ._.)))

You're confused because you did not look into which culture they came from and the time line they were said. This dates back a long time, and there are many versions of the Bible. Personally I no longer believe in the bible for just such things. Its someone who wrote a book a long time ago, it is purely man made, and something that was said so long ago could've very well have said something like "I love lamp" or "The chicken is burning" (Pay attention SuperNova!) and the phone game effect very well took a part of the edition of the current bible. Obviously the name Lucifer is foreshadowing the bible is a story, these are common traits of how you write a book.

According to this, you call the Devil Satan when you are Catholic, and Lucifer when you want him to represent wisdom and enlightenment.

To clear things up, I wasn't talking to you, CaptKnuckles, on my second comment, when referencing the wiki comment. Nubtrain also made a comment about wiki which I assumed was aimed towards me seeing as how he said something about my having used my Priests information. Sorry if this is confusing. :P A little tired as of now,but, I figured I'd take a shot at clearing things up.
