Hi guys! I'm kind of new to DotaFire, but I would like to suggest an idea real quick
It is quite a simple idea really, but I guess it's original and quite balanced if you ask me!
The Mystic Lantern is combined using two items, Gem of True Sight and Ghost sceptre.
Passive: Grants true sight in a 900 unit radius, and grants the ability to differentiate between illusions.
Active:<insert Ghost Scepter active ability here>
This kind of balances heroes such as PL and NS etc. and heroes that use items like Manta Style.
I know I haven't provided much detail, but just a suggestion really
Lore/Description
A Lantern Wielded by a powerful warden named "Garocht", known for being able to detect all false pretences.
I think its an interesting concept, but It could utterly Destroy illusion based heroes. A good Offset would be if it were very expensive, like 6000+ Gold expensive so that it becomes a late game item.
It has some problems still, first why do you want to **** up illusion heroes even more ? it would be tipically Icefrog ****, doing something to nerf Chaos Knight and leave guys like Naga Siren Phantom Lancer and Terrorblade on unplayable territoy, i am not saying it is a bad idea, i am saying it would need balance nonetheless.
If the item is not droppeable, the passive should be on the active, otherwise would be broken against invisible heroes(i would build against riki even if he did not make a Manta Style).The item should work much like Necrophos ability Ghost Shroud and have the target with the vision aura and the ghost effect, it would be cool cause illusion heroes would need to use Diffusal Blade charges on supports and would even kill them.
But the idea is indeed very good, i would like to see a good lore about it.

The item is clearly for supports, supports can't have this due to the fact that they don't get as much as many farm as carries or cores and the fact that its effects are too good (not OP just too good) it's gonna be pricey to counterbalance its effects best way for me to do this is maybe don't make it a passive but an active. While under the effects you have magic vulnerability and full physical damage immunity and is disarmed however you or whomever you cast it on can detect the real hero amongst the illusions.
It's an interesting idea, and personally, I'd definitely buy one. I'd say the biggest issue is around whether or not this item drops on death...like Gem of True Sight. If it does...ouch. If it doesn't...well you've suddenly got permanent true sight, which is kind of game breaking. Maybe have it on some kind of extended duration (or low cooldown) active instead?
