Icefrog seems to be pushing Riki and his new ult a lot, but I don't see him get any play with that garbage laning. Might as well play Ember have less risk, get online much earlier and have way superior mobility.
He either needs a buff to his laning or he'll remain dumpster tier. Weak laners just don't work nowadays.

He can kill with a help of support from level 2 onwards, his only problem is that he needs a trilane to deal with strong doublehards, but with the influx of Iron Talon junglers literally everywhere it's not so rare to meet a solo offlane now and you can freely pick Riki against those or vs weak doublehards. Or, well, ask for a trilane.

I played a couple of games today and noticed something odd. People were playing way more passive than pre 6.86 hit as far as I could tell. Anyone else experience this or did I just get those kind of players 3 times in a row?

Played a game a couple of days/weeks ago... i use enigma and my friend use riki... it was a pretty sick combo tbh XD

I think Riki is strong this patch, I mean his ultimate hits every hero in the AoE at the same time, that's really strong, I build a Mjollnir and it can proc on every hero at the same time, that's pretty insane if you think about it. Also, huge combo wombo with Magnus, that's almost a secure rampage.
