i was afraid as much, but coL showed some flashes of potential and I think their performance overall can be a boon for the NA dota scene as a whole. Since now the brand might have a reason to keep the squad together and they'll be able to continue to grow and improve together. That right there has been the bane of the NA dota scene right there: a lack of stability and/or continuity, none of the teams stick around long enough to develop as a group (Team Liquid, NAR'Vi, Sneaky Nyx Assassins/FIRE and so on).

I am fairly confident that this team will stick around instead doing of the 'ol weekly disband routine that has plagued NA for too long. So I doubt we have seen the last of compLexity as a team. I've also got some hopes that Archon shows some good degree of expanding their brand and will continue to back NAR v2 as a squad (though I won't be surprised if they pull a mouz, but I will still be disappointed)

TL;DR: I think the future of NA doto is looking up all things considered.

Secret looked like their pre starladder farm 24/7 pick lycan or SF every game. They didnt use their advantage at all because they thought SF and storm could handle anti mage. But it was a ****ING BURNING BGOD ANTI MAGE **********ERS WHAT NOW SECREKT FANGAYS I FEAST ON YOUR TEARS HAHQHSHHSHGGJKJRLRIKCKF.

Not to take anything away from Burning, but that comeback was enabled purely by an incredible amount of individual misplays by Secret. Arteezy self Eul's, Kuro ulti on illusion twice, bunching up against Mana Void? Guess they're nervous after all.

I think s4 just itemised poorly. Like, if that Shiva's was a Hex or a Linken's, think how different that game could've been. Then they have more lockdown for AM, and can probably kill him more often, or at least not get wrecked by him.

That, or they needed to close the game out with a greater sense of urgency.

But yeah, this is just weird to see given the expectations. Like, whether it's nerves or something, but there's not that same clincal sense of play that Secret demonstrated so well prior to the event. Instead you get them arguably playing like they feel they are flat out better than anything, and not delivering on it. Hell, even just looking at iG's and Secret's group stages it weird to see.

I agree, their draft seems desperate (or s4 just out-mindgamed everyone). I've never seen them this rattled.

I think Secret just got out-drafted. Like, they can't deal with PL late, and I don't think they can push early enough or well enough for it to matter. Like, iG have great high ground defence.

So in essence; BH and Clock need to make so much happen, and they need to crush the PL's farm progression.

EDIT; I just don't think Secret have respected people enough this tourney. Like, they should've known going into this that they were the team to beat in msot peoples eyes, so people would be massively prepared for them. And it looks like honestly they've just thought they can out-play everyone and thus haven't prepared for this detail. And it's showing; they don't look like Secret right now.
