We are not too far from TI5 and the landscape of the meta has a fair amount of change from last year's installment of The International. So, I figured we'd take a look at how the most picked/banned of TI4 fit into the meta of 6.84(c), the patch that will be used in TI5.
the most contested of all those heroes will probably be Io and Naga Siren, except naga will mainly see play as a support, with just some carry. probably by C9 and IG.
especially Io will see more play then he does outside of TI on average, since top tier teams contest the hero more.
apart from that Ancient Apparition will probably see a decent amount of play.
Ones that certaintly will; Io - Io combo's are weaker now, but if you have a really good player, it's still worth using every now and again. Like, he's not been nerfed really, he's just had more counters come into he hero pool.
Naga Siren - She's been shifting into the meta again slowly and is really valued by high level teams.
Shadow Demon - A generically good support who combos really well with a lo of common picks nowadays. Even if it's not a lot, he will get some love.
Ancient Apparition - China love the hero, and I imagine you'll see him as a Wyvern soft-counter. Less certain about this, but he'll get small amounts of love.
Shadow Shaman - Little situational, but I think deathball is in the meta enough for him to be viable in some drafts.
Heroes I think will have some love, but it's a little more iffy; Razor - He's an anti-carry who will no doubt be a pocket idea against say SF or Gryo, but I think it's less certain to happen.
Mirana - Less likely, but there are really good Mirana players around like Puppey, so seeing it once or twice wouldn't shock me either. Especially with stuff like Naga Siren being relevent.
Invoker - I just have a feeling that there are enough good Invoker players about that it will be hail mary at some point.
Tinker - It's a little mad of me, especially given the rise of AM, but I hnestly believe that Tinker is an underpicked competitive hero, and that he will see fringe amounts of play as a result. Probably in the hands of EG because Sumail is a good Tinker.
Heroes that will probably get love and I don't think should; Wraith King -> I mean QoP is a top pick. That's just terrible for a WK.
Heroes that I doubt will get any love; Tidehunter and Brewmaster; Both are team-fight heroes who are almost entirely focused around there big ulti's, and this is just not the meta for that it appears. Both also have severe laning issues right now, so I can't imagine they will be very relevant.
Doom -> Similar issues to the above two really. However, I think he's got a bit of a better shot than the above.
The Hero that will probably make a comeback out of nowhere; Batrider - I don't really think the hero is good anymore, but I imagine somebody will bring it back for nostalgia's sake.
