Daft, the **** you're talking about. My answer to this is give me a chance.
*As you guys probably noticed, I do make a lot of mistakes since english isn't my native tongue.
So, hey guys. I've come up with something today. And I'll need your opinions on the matter.
The more I looked about those 2, the more I realized that they're "kind of" the same for a lot of things. There has been a lot of threads about Bounty Hunter recently, and I decided to look a bit deeper.
Their ROLE, however, are different. One is to help the team's economy and **** up the farm of the enemy while the other is to snowball in order to destroy the enemy's tempo even more.
Techies
- Fear Factor + (MINES, MIENS EVEREYRGSA)
- Vision (with the mines, honestly I don't understand why techies player dont put some mines as wards, because it totally works and for way more than 7 mins)
- Scales very well late game (so much mines, so much defense)
- Gets kills by himself, most of the time
- Forces other team to buy senties
- #3 or #4
- Mostly early, and a good mid game
- Escape (Suicide (Some say suicide isn't the answer to escape when things go wrong, well they've never seen techies))
- Can contribute a lot into teamfights, but with an undirect way
Bounty Hunter
- Fear Factor (INVISIBILITEH AAAAAA)
- Vision + (His ult, of course)
- Scales ok late game (some people like him as right click for late game, but I prefer as full utility)
- Helps the team setting up ganks
- Forces other team to buy sentries/dust
- #3 or #4
- Mostly early, and a good mid game
- Escape (INVISIBILITEH)
- Can contribute a lot into teamfights, but with an undirect way
My conclusion: I feel like techies is the more greedy and selfish way of playing as a roamer, since he mostly gets the kills to himself and doesn't share it to anyone else.
Competitive: Well, this is where things get different. Bh is picked way more than techies, because they are used to bh. But I think, with all the techies buff, that he can now be considered a legit hero. He's getting picked more and more (from never to rarely). He IS somewhat a hero to consider now when you need a roamer. Do you guys think that techies will go up in popularity?
Techies I've seen played as a laner recently by Secret, they've been abusing the land mines reduced delay buff with Tusk for early killls.
As for roaming Techies im always sceptical. You're not going to get the EXP you need for the mines, nor are you getting gold for early mana regen items. Though if you get first blood you usually have enough for Soul Ring. It could work I suppose, but very unreliable in my opinion (less than other roamer). Where as Bounty Hunter can go anywhere with Shadow Walk+ Jinada and the laner is usually dead at this point. The mines might show off their impact come mid game where the mines are abundant from the early game roaming, except that it wont be abundant if he dont get gold for mana regen items (which he wont many times). Techies needs more farm, while Bounty Hunter's items are all mostly situational (In my experience of course)

Thing is, you can easily farm the jungle with the mines, get some stacks going, etc. Many techies never go in-lane to keep it secret. and I think that once you grab a soulring, if you do the mana trick it'll be more than enough. He IS more greedy, but that is also why he gets all the gold himself when it comes to a kill for 90% of the time (death by mines) unlike bh who shares the gold to his team (which is an other advantage)
I play agianst Techies. I cant go for a rune, I cant go through any paths, ****, I cant even walk into side shop without getting my brains blown out my ***. Then techies calls me a noob for walking into mines and im like "I CANT SENTRY EVERY SINGLE f*CKING PATH IN THE DAMN MAP WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO". Especially as melle heroes, because then even if i get wards/gem i see them but i cant clear them. And then I never see Techies bc hes always waiting in the shadows, roamin out of lane, planting mines. so if I catch him i can get him down, but then he just suicides and we both die and I get no gold. Then the Techies rub in how they are getting kills and im like "wow ok, good on you for hitting q every 10 seconds and suicide-ing when I get near".
Not saying I cant deal with it. Ive won plenty of times against techies. But he pisses me off.
Would you be that scared against a bh?
Because techies is a mind-game hero. Same goes for bh, but bh can't be everywhere at once. In a pub, techies does way more than a roaming Bh can. Though, in comp, we see bh way more since he can set up ganks and mess with the other's economy. But I'd say that in a pub techies > bh.
