Enchantress is one of the few heroes in the game who can successfully level one jungle. Her ability Enchant, allows her to "charm an enemy, bringing it under her control (if a creep), or slowing it (if a hero)." Because of this ability to control jungle creeps, she is generally used as a jungler, and only that, then she buys a smoke and goes and ganks mid.

However, this is not her best use imo. A strat for offlane Enchantress recently came to my attention, and I have come to realize it is quite potent. The skill build here is to get a value point in heal, then max your passive Untouchable. After that max Nature's Attendants, skilling ulti at 6, 11, and 16. After this you get stats. Enchant is not obtained until you are forced to skill it at levels 22-25.

My item progression is Power Treads --> Mask of Madness --> Force Staff --> Black King Bar (situational) --> Aghanim's Scepter --> Bloodstone

Using this skillbuild makes you an excellent offlaner. Because of your passive and heal, it makes it extremely difficult for you to be harrassed out of lane, as Enchantress is perhaps the most durable hero in the game against auto-attacks (excepting Axe under Berserker's Call. You can easily trade hits with the enemy support/s, and if you take a bit too much damage, heal up. This makes it very easy to obtain XP, and even go for the occassional last hit. Once you have ulti, if the supports aren't scared of you, make them ;). Mask of Madness makes it easy to very quickly wipe out any target, provided they don't possess a silence or a stun (which is why you should be getting second big item).

But, I have still not mentioned the real point of this build... to ruin the carry's day. You ruin the support's until 6, but at that point they must back off or die. Then you can harrass the enemy carry, and even have a chance for a kill. I believe this build is extremely potent. Thoughts?

I kind of like this idea, but have some severe concerns about how effective it would be against a half-way decent trilane.

You have:

+ A great heal (albeit on a long CD and high mana cost)
+ A skill which makes you hard to harass/kill with auto-attacks
+ Great base movement speed

- Awful starting strength and gain
- Bad starting int (lack of casts)
- ****py base armour

At level 1, your heal is only 30hp/second, so you're relying on being able to use it (i.e. good anticipation/not being stunned or silenced), and the opposition not being able to burst you down. It's pretty risky.

As for not getting Enchant, this is just silly - why would you not want a skill that lets you use minions to divert the creep wave, help you lane, provide extra pushing power, an a skill which lets you use your ult more effectively? Even a value point seems like an easy win.

Overall worth experimenting with, but I'd even consider just Enchanting a big creep early on, and stealing waves to ensure you get levels, over trying to compete directly. Silence is also a big problem.

To be fair, you guys weren't in the game ;) but yeah in a higher tier than I am currently in, or against a more spell-based lane, this would not work. It IS highly situational, I grant you, but is still very potent if used and handled well.

Enchant a creep, use it to cut the opponent's wave so it stacks with the second wave = guaranteed EXP under tower.

What you do with NP offlane too.

And also someone in championships this year played it Slasher's way mid against, if I'm not mistaken, Shadow Fiend. It was not a serious draft, but it was interesting and Enchantress was quite effective in the early game.

Anyone knows what game that was to share here? I can't remember.

I think it was this game. http://www.datdota.com/match.php?q=1014995223

Not really slashers build, but more of a carry ench with aghs.
I believe meracle is the only one that has picked it multiple times. Along with some other weird things.

No, I don't think it was that game Timminatorr. The one I saw a few days ago had a MoM Enchantress, besides the Slasher's beggining. But I will try to find it to confirm and post here.
