The Chinese and American qualifiers have ended, with EHome and compLexity going directly to TI5 while CDED and NARv2 will play in the wildcard. So, how wrong was everyone's predictions?
Predicted both first places. Got NAR for 2nd and Void boys for 4th. But eHug killed me. I picked them to get 3rd and they got last.
Actually picked Cdec to get 4th, not second. Then EP wrecked the competition out of nowhere, didn't see that coming. I actually picked tongfu for second, didn't expect to see them get their ***es get so thouroughly beaten.
So far. 5/8 on my predictions, with 4 of them in the correct places.
Mousesports losing was such a shock. I mean, they played like **** for a lot of the group stages, but still a shock to see them not even top 2 when they were almost the unanimous 1 position choice for all of the DOTA personalities I saw. Even the stats had them being an easy first place.
EP doing so well on the otherhand is not that shocking - This is a team that's been consiently taking games off of LGD, Vici Gaming and iG. It all came down to which side of themselves they brough, the brilliance that beats tier 1 teams somewhat consitently, or the side that throws everything ever.
Can't remember the rest of my predictions, but I'm mostly awaitng the Europe ones to come in, since there's soooo many good teams here.
Well, choosing Alliance to finish 1st might not be a given after seeing them just play 4ASC now.
I only caught the end of game 1, and game 2 - They still played really well. Like, the held out in game 1 longer than I thought they could given the defeciet (I mean, it was what 10 minutes with two racks down, and they were winning team-fights against a line-up with a gold lead), and they dominated game 2.
A draw is unfortunate, but they still were the better team. They just had poor laning stage in game 1, which happens.
my predections are destroyed too got the complexity on 2 but only my #1 and #2 are real predictions as i don't know the pro scene from dota throwing in random teams on 3 and 4.
for china got ehome right after that I don't think I got any other right
how it's looking for europe bad with alliance getting owned the first game I watched still my other predictions there are doing pretty well
SEA on #3 #4 they are pretty spot on (depends on Phoenix getting #2 and not hot6)
Bad news for everyone that had Alliance winning the EU Qualifiers, they have just knocked out of group A. NiP, 4ASC and Na'Vi are in the main qualifier, the last spot will go to either Vega or London Conspiracy.
The Group B of the EU Qualifiers was ridiculously unbalanced - Na'Vi was quite ahead of the other teams. Any other team of the group A would classify easily, along with Na'Vi.
Vega beating NIP today was quite a surprise, especially because they lost the early game in all three matches.

Well they ended ahead of the other teams, but it was really close.
They lost the first series 2-0 to LC. And then had 2 miracle comebacks/ CIS throws against HR and vega. Just imagine if those teams dont throw, or that dendi doesnt hit the RP, or if vega didnt fight sloppy in the teamfight after that where navi doesnt have any ults.
They could have easily ended up with 2 points out of 3 games instead of 6 points.
If you look at the teams that bedore the qualifier HR was above teams like burden, 4asc, and on the same as nip. And vega on that same level as 4asc burden.
So you cant blame anyone for the groups.
Besides, navi has been playing VERY sloppy, i dont think ive seen a good 5v5 highground siege out of them, but ofc they still have that navi clutch play.
