Magnus uses Empower on Void. Magnus Blinks In. Magnus uses RP. FV Time Walks in. Uses Chrono. Beats them with cleave. Magnus finishes off heroes with nuke or charge. Add in a good AoE nuker from the outside *cough cough Lina*, and you have a good team wipe.
magnus works really well with any melee hard carry in general. try empower on sven for hilarious results, PA for RP into op crit cleave, Chaos knight for a decent farm rate for a farm starved hero, troll for a AOE super dps, and lastly Tuskar for the funniest **** you've ever seen
It's like anyother wombo combo, the chances of it working aren't really that big. In this one you need to be able to communicate with the other player or otherwise you will probably fail.

Magnus has gotten really popular as a mid and offlaner (especially so in the last patch) because he pairs so well with popular melee carries like Troll and Jugg. It's basically a free Battlefury, but you can focus on better items. It gives you the option to fight early AND flash farm.
I wouldn't say Magnus + Void is much better than anything else though. Chrono and RP kinda do the same thing, so I don't feel like you need both. I'd rather have a follow up Black Hole I think. But the cleave is really really nice on Void.
The only problem with this combo is heroes like silencer and death prophet who have large aoe silences. Otherwise, I think it is a great combo. You could throw an elder titan in as well since his ult is not cancelled in chrono.
The only actual problem with this combo (and all other cool-looking-aoe-wombo-combo-with-5-heroes) is that good players won't let you catch more than 2 people at once in it.
"When game is going full ******, you can only go with it. If you start going against it, if you start going half ******, you´re ****ing done for. When Aloha decides to go middle rubick you let him, and you start buying orb of venom on invoker. That's how dota works" -n0tail

Correction, good players won't let you initate on more than two people in most circumstances.
Wombo-Combo's like this (And Magnus ones in general) are better as counter-initations, rather than actual iniations, because team-fights usually become clumped up even with the best of teams. Thus how 4-5 man RP's and Black Holes are things even in high level competitive play.
Also even if you only catch two people, if they are two important people with Magnus it's still fight winning; You just Skewer them away from there team, isolating and killing them off.
Essentially wombo-combo drafts like this are fine, you just are reliant heavily on execution.
