I continue with my plan to gain rep- er, make threads to talk about the TI5 qualifier. In this case, let's talk about the European qualifier. Vote and discuss in a civilized fashion!
The most stacked qualifier for sure. The second place will be very important too since there are 2 wildcard places available. And they are probably going to the chinese and EU second place, since there are 5 teams that are better or as good as the best 'american' team. (which isnt even american, such a shame that a region as big as that has only 1 relevant team.)
This could really go many ways, but i voted for NIP, but alliance also has a very good chance. With HR and navi as underdogs, and even burden or vega could pull an upset.
Given that NiP have been performing poorly as of late, I honestly think Alliance have it. Like, before the new patch hit everyone would've said NiP had it easily, because they were playing consitently well, but now that's just dropped off a bit.
2nd place will be interesting given the region is so stacked. But yeah, this is the qualifier to watch more than any other.
All relies on who knows the patch best by the time qualifiers roll around. That's what decided the summit, imo; the teams who had a grasp of the patch (Secret) were able to stomp the ones who hadn't done enough homework (EG, VG).
At the end of 6.83 I would say NiP and Alliance hands down. I give Alliance the edge over NiP now and they're probably still my two picks, but it really just depends on the next couple of weeks before I can make a more accurate decision. That region is just so up in the air that it's hard to tell. Na'Vi can totally come out of nowhere with their new and improved lineup too, so I can't count them out.
