We're little over a month away from May 1st, the day when invitations to the The International 2015 will begin to be distributed to a handful of the best and brightest teams on the pro circuit. So, which teams not named Team Secret do you think will receive an invitation to TI5?

In the Western Scene, probably will see Evil Geniuses, Cloud 9, maybe Alliance given there new run of form? I'd personally like to see NiP get one as well.

Whereas in the eastern scene; Newbee probably will given they won it last year and haven't been looking too bad. iG and Vici are also pretty likely, and I think LGD as well.

Probably the bigger thing will be that this will be the first year where Na'Vi don't get an invite. Since no way have they been playing well enough.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

I think Newbee will only get an invite based on the fact they're the defending champions. Because after their dumpster fire of a performance in the DAC, they didn't look like they were set to for a title defense.

My guess from the European Scene (Not gonna say Secret cause that's a Given)

ASUS.Polar, Cloud 9, Alliance, Maybe Hellraisers and/or NIP. They might pick Na'Vi out of pity but I highly doubt that.

From China,

Invictus, Vici, Newbee (Simply cause they won last year, not because they actually deserve it.), perhaps LGD.

From the Americas,

EG definitely.

if there are still 11 direct invites, and around the same per region, then i think it will look like this.
there were 4 EU/CIS, 4 chinese, 2 american, and 1 SEA.

EU: secret, C9, probably have the best chances, then it will probably be close between empire, NIP, polar, and alliance. Navi needs to step up their game, because they shouldnt get invited if they keep playing like this.

china: VG, IG, and LGD. Newbee will probably be invited because 3 of their players are defending champions, but they arent better then CDEC and EHOME and valve is known to invite teams rather then players, so who knows, if they keep sucking they might miss the invite.

American: EG......... And then nothing.... There is team tinker i guess, but only 2 of their players are american, and 3 are EU. Aside from them there is no other TI worthy american team anymore since teams cant seem to last more then 1 week in america....

SEA: Rave will probably get a direct invite. MY has more to prove i think and so does MVP after their roster changes.

Edit: by the way why are people constantly assuming secret is the best team? Last time i looked EG won DAC and starladder, not secret. They havent even won a big tournament yet.
Besides, i actually think that now they are worse after the roster changes, and EG became strategicly stronger because they dont have one player forcing them into 1 playstyle around his favorite heroes. *kuch* RTZ *kuch*

what team have you been watching? holy **** man they lost to a semi amateur chinese team in a Bo3.

their performance at DAC? something like 1-15 they were the forst or second team to bow out.

even their performance in scrims/casual games which ive seen has been dismal.

thats what 5 million does to ya i guess :/

I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL.... WITH FLUFFY BUNNIES

You mean, thats what happens when the only reason you won, that being xiao8's strategic genius, leaves your team.

I probably should've said; Whilst they had a period of being utter garbage, they've shown improvement post DAC. Not the extent that they are as good as they were before, but looking like an alright team.

But I do agree, they had the DAC period where they sucked.

They won XMG Captains Draft and Dota Pit League Season 2, they finished 3rd at the DAC, the Summit 2 and at ESL One New York in addition to being runner up at Starladder. Given their track record so far and the name recognition that their roster has, they are a lock indeed.

If Gosugamers.net is to be believed, then as a matter of fact, they are the best team.

Exactly, they have only won 2 tournaments, both being online and with their old roster, and one not even being CM.
Apart from that they have been in 1 LAN final which they lost, and in DAC they were beaten by VG and EG. So why are people calling them the 'best' team?
