Bolt early. Cast from afar (fog, trees, hills). Ulti if needed. Go in and chase fleeing heroes.
Use your ult for vision (imba maphack) and disabling daggers. Abuse the fact that your ult and bolt give vision.
Bolt gives truesight and ministuns.
Bolt and your ult share animation - you can sometimes use ult to draw out a TP during a gank and cancel it with bolt.
