Timbersaw: Tree Killer, Woman Getter

Introduction

Hi, my name is Bugg and here is my guide on how to play Timbersaw. I don't consider myself to be the best player but I felt like showing people the way I think is best to play Timber. I accept criticism. :D

Timbersaw Lore

Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle's workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and bark and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit's arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end. The saw-suit was ready.

With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn't like it one bit.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Very mobile
Good chasing potential
Can clear lanes fairly quick
Can nuke like crazy
Q + W sick *** combo
Can solo
Decent harass pre-6

Cons:
VERY mana hungry early
Squishy without passive
Silence=Death
Timber is useless against BKB
Little utility, which is why he isn't seen on pro scene that much

Items

Starting:
Fairly simple, stout shield could be built into Crimson Guard later, tango and salve for regen, clarity for when your harassing

Early:
Ah~ The wand never fails, good against people who spam abilities. Bottle cos of mana, and Soul Ring for BS

Core:
Arcane Boots for mana, and for team. Disassemble Arcane Boots for Bloodstone. Bloodstone works wonders on Timber. Mana regen, health regen? SUICIDE HAHAHAHHAH

Situational:
Scepter: 2 Chakrams could be a little difficult to handle (for me at least...) but more damgage, health, mana, and all that good stuff.
Blademail: Good against carrys and stuff
Heart: More health allows you to stay in the fight forever
Sheepstick: If someones decides to overextend you can sheep them and then your whole team goes on him, or if your escaping you sheep then w out of there. More intelligence doesn't hurt? :)
Shivas: The reason why I didn't add it to the core section is because after Bloodstone, you could build some other items, depending on the situation but you can get this after BS if you like
Vlads: If no one else is gonna get it then you should, mana and health regen is good. for you and your team

Skills

Q: Whirling Death:
This is a AWESOME nuke. You should max this second. The only way to use this is the coolest, while using your w. You could use it to clear lanes too.

W: Timber Chain:
This is your primary ability. You max this first. This ability deals PURE DAMAGE, ignores armor, and your feelings. You could escape, chase, and destroy kids dreams with this ability.

E: Reactive Armor:
Everytime you take damage, you regen a little quicker and gain some armor, max this last. Pretty decent passive.

R: Chakram:
CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT! Timbers ult is so cool. Clear lanes with this, use it with timber chain, throw it out then pull it back real quick for some good damage while laning. The only con is that you can aa when the ult is out, but when will that happen?

Team Work

When teamfights erupt just throw about your chakram, then unistall dota and go to Burger King or something...

You should use your abilities to pick off people or use your ult to slow enemies down if they try to escape. Communication wins games.

Summary

Thats about it. Oh! That's right, if you have a mic scream CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT non-stop. Trust me, it works.
