Introduction

The aim of this guide is to take advantage of stackable orbs on Hero/Illusions.
Because of the nature of Phantom Lancer diffusal is insanely good on him; however,
the hero himself does not require to carry the orb for it to be that good.

I wrote this guide because I was tired of people telling me my orbs didn't work and
also tired of seeing Phantom Lancers pick up entire vlads just so they can farm the
jungle, often slowing down their farm as opposed to increasing it.

Laning Phase

During the lane your first priority should be farm; it is very to assist in kills with
your lance and once you hit lvl 4 your chase lets you close the distance, however, in my experience it is always best to skill dobbleganger at lvl 2 in order to ensure an escape
should you be ganked or to dodge nukes during the laning phase.

Completing your diffusal and Morbid Mask.

Immediately drop your diffusal and place it at pos 1 and your morbid mask at pos 2-5, or any order in which diffusal is ahead of morbid.

At this point in the game you want to be farming the lane whenever you feel it is safe and then going into the jungle when you feel the lane is too pushed or unsafe.

At this point in the game PL has two major flaws, incredibly low health and very poor movement speed the second in my opinion is the most important to adress because it reduces
your farm speed and leaves you vulnerable to ganks. For this we farm up a yasha to further
increase our insane jungling speed and then BoT's.

We then adress the health issue by grabbing a Sange to go with out Yasha and putting us
at about 1300 hp; respectable for this stage of the game and finally making us able to
compete in fights without dying to stray nukes.

It is important to note that IF their team has any Cleave heroes such as Kunkka, Tiny, Sven or Anti-Mage that it may be best to get Heavens Halbeard instead of SnY, if so I would advise getting an Ultimate or Sange then finishing your BoT's instead of Yasha.

Fighting and Farming

By now you have very good movement speed and decent health; you probably need to buy a new diffusal blade if you have been ganking solo support that you find whilst farming or have
joined ganks with your team so that should be your first priority.

After this we will start working on our Skadi; the two orbs are huge boots to PL giving him
huge attack speed, damage, health and mana all which he can use to great effect. If you are
ahead you should be encouraging your team to fight and push near creep waves or with allied summons and the BoT'ing into the fights and chasing down easy kills, whilst it may also be
possible to focus the carries at this point with Sange slow, purge, lance slow and your chase skill it should be extreamly easy to kill supports who havn't noticed you BoT'ing in.

After skadi it is probably best to pick up Dominator for slot efficiency; the item gives your main hero some nice armour, regen and damage for very little cost.

At this point you need to decide whether to pick up your Satanic or one of the luxuary items; Satanic gives great sustain allowing you to man up against carries or instantly heal yourself whilst killing the jungle or a squishy support, it also gives a huge chunk of health to yourself anf all our illusions.

However; if there is evasion on their team such as a PA it may be vital to get a quick MKB and if there is a hero with very good escape or that is immune to slows it may also be as vital to get a basher and abyssal.
