The Pub Moves Compendium

Introduction

This is a guide including a selection of moves that I use as a joke in pubs. Most of them have no real use but feel good when you get them right.

The 'Delta Split'

I have been playing DOTA for a long time. So when my friends started playing, they were amazed at all the technical terms I kept using. So one time, when the other team was stampeding down our lane, they shouted 'Delta Split! Delta Split!' and ran in opposite directions into the jungle.

Execution: If you are being pushed down a lane by a large number of people, run away in different directions. Failure to shout DELTA SPLIT! whilst doing so makes you a scrub.

The Red Remmy

This is a move for use by Ember Spirit players. Basically, place three fire remnants in a triangle shape around an enemy, chain them so they can't move out, and travel to one. This will deal a sizeable chunk of damage, but is not really practical apart from the fact that it looks cool.

Wallbanger

Get a Lone Druid to place a wall down in front of an enemy. Get a Pudge to hook them through it. Illusion 1. Then get Drow to blow them back through. Illusion 2. Then get your support (probably OD) to force staff them back through. Illusion 3. Improvise from there.

Red Alert

Pick Centaur Warrunner, Lone Druid or Weaver against a Bloodseeker. Buy blademail. Wait for him to rupture. Activate blademail. Activate your speed ability and run as far as you can without dying. Only really works if Bloodseeker isn't on high health. Works best as Weaver, as he can then use Time Lapse to fully heal and get begind Bloodseeker before finishing him.

Borrowing time

Pick Abaddon and build burst items such as dagon. Around lategame, initiate a fight near other team's base and chase down the stragglers into their fountain. Borrowed time will give you a chance to fountain dive and finish them off with your burst damage before they can heal.

End of the line

If there is a Bloodseeker on your team, pick Invoker, Aghs Gyrocopter, Clockwerk, Zeus or any other hero with a global damage skill (or vice versa if someone else picks Bloodseeker). Then, wait for an enemy to be mortally wounded before walking back to their fountain. Just before they get there, hit them with a global.

Milkshake Runespot

Pick Earthshaker, level fissure and go with your mid to grab 0:00 rune. Tell your carry to wait by you ibehind a patch of bush (works best on Radiant). Just before the rune spawns, fissure and create a wall in between the enemy heroes and the rune. If they were already standing on it, they will still be pushed out of reach. Then your mid can grab the rune.

Rupture Ripperino

As a well fed Bloodseeker, buy a force staff. Rupture a hero after hitting them to low health. Of course, they will stand still. Stand next to them and don't hit them. Just before the rupture duration ends, force staff them forward and kill them.

Thanks for reading!

I kind of wrote this on a whim, and none of the moves listed are at all valid choices for ranked/comp play. Obviously. Of course, there are plenty of other ****ish moves I could add, but I couldn't think of any. Anyway, thanks for reading!
