Support Huskar Introduction

Huskar is commonly labeled as the pub stomping carry, throwing burning spears magically emanating from thin air. However, Huskar is a very viable support, as he does not require many items as he is already effective.

Why Play Huskar Support?

-Can easily trade hits with the enemy carry (ranged, Burning Spear)

-Has a heal which can heal teammates as well

-Confuse enemy

-Difficult to harass and usually kill (unless the enemy has a high composition of dps heroes)

-Doesn't need damage items ( Burning Spear)

Items and laning phase

Huskar DOES NOT need damage items. Your only goal is to delay enemy farm as much as possible (primarily the carry). Burning Spears do too much damage early game, and they stack, so use this to your advantage. Since they are magical damage, amplifying the damage is ideal. It is also ideal that you pair up with nuker, as you are forcing enemies to use up all their consumables and to stay low on hp. This also causes the carry to always use the courier, forcing poor mid presence for the enemy mid. Two sets of Tangos allow you to effectively trade hits with the enemy. Boots of Speed apparently make you run faster, and are used for obvious reasons.

Mekansm...provides stats (which are always good) and armour. Armour is good for Huskar as having high physical and magical resistance can be a real annoyance for the enemy team. Using this in the MIDDLE of a team fight as the bonus 2 armour helps. Tranquil Boots gives you even more armour. Since you have tranquil boots, you don't need to heal yourself with q.

Force Staff can be used for awesome jukes by passing over impassable terrain or passing through creeps. Do not underestimate the creeps as they can delay enemy heroes to catch you by blocking them. Has someone hidden in the trees and you can't see them? DON'T WORRY! This bad boy is also great for deforestation. You can also use this push enemies who are out of position for a free kill.

Urn of Shadows...don't get this if there is a Pudge or Night Stalker on your team, or someone who ganks alot and goes mid. If the mid doesn't get it, get it yourself to have an extra heal for the team. Soul Ring fixes any mana problem if you have any so don't worry and exchange your own health to mana to heal your allies.

In total, from your core items, you have 22hp regen a sec when you aren't attacking or being attacked, so you can stay back if you are low in health and get back in lane phase is practically no time.

All your core items really just help out the team damage output and amplifies your presence with slows, disables and magic immunity.

Ranked Play

They won't expect a support Huskar and since you have 2 Tangos in your invent (after using your wards), they would safely assume you are rushing Morbid Mask, thus they will try harass you in lane more. So just continue fooling them until you get a Buckler then they'll probably go "OH SH*T WE HARASSED THE WRONG GUY". Best case scenario is, they fail to notice that your carry has had very good farm and then your team wins. Happy days.

Team Work

Really not much required to play this guy. Just say "ganking top/mid/ bot", "scouting enemy jungle", "warding", "stun now!", "missing top/ mid/ bot", "well played" and "good game well played".

Summary

-Try not to die

-Harass the enemy

-Do what supports normally do

-Try to have fum
