I think the idea for Radiance Is for extra damage when you are chasing and so that you get healed when next to creeps ( The burn damage kills creeps quite quickly, allowing Blood Bath to proc so you get healed a handy amount. I don't play Blyatcyka much so I could be wrong.

Very solid guide here. Apart from play style differences, this looks like it works very solidly. I would like to say, however, that you can never have too much health regen. If you're regenerating health from just attacking AND from getting kills, it just makes you that much harder to kill. Had a hilarious game where that happened, and the enemy literally couldn't do anything because of their lack of disable and because everything I did gave me hit points. Literally 1v5'd 'em all while the rest of the team pushed other lanes.

Granted, it was an unusual game, but I certainly wouldn't have been able to do it without the lifesteal buff. It's one of those things that's kind of situational: would lifesteal give you the survivability you need to actually kill one for the REAL health boost? If so, it's definitely something to consider. Anyway, well-written!

Magic Sticks/Wands are always nice to have of course. The reason why the urn is so good is not so much for healing yourself (you have bloodbath anyway) but also for the damage output. 150 dmg may not sound much but it is HP-Removal damage which means it does not get reduced by magic resistance, armor or whatever damage block ability your enemy has. These 150 damage are a lot in the early game.

Later, that damage becomes less useful because heros will have more hp but healing your allies is always good. As someone said in the comments, Bloodseeker does not do a lot for his teammates, well with an urn he can heal at least. You should try it out.

Thank you very much for the Halberd idea. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Butterfly. I never get to buy it. The game usually ends beforehand.

Regarding the Urn however, I find a Magic Stick or Wand more useful especially in early game. The Urn would be reasonable later in the game when more Team fights or when you start going on the prowl for victims.

Nice build especially with Sange and Yasha split later on. It gives all needed stats and utility to gank all over the map as well as teamfight.

I think this is best settled like this.

if you need the evasion, and cannot afford a eagle song, get a halberd. If you can afford the egle song, don't die and get one so you can make a butterfly (since the other parts of a butterfly are easy to get)

The offensive power of a butterfly is too much to just dismiss because it is too expensive, but I do agree that the defensive power of halberd is nothing to scoff at. It is just unusual for anything but a support to get a halberd.

Whoa my fault, miscalculated that one. No idea how i got 350...

As you say, stalker and magnus use their spells to offset the ranged advantage. Bloodseeker is not ranged so they dont have to use their spells to lasthit. The can use it to harrass you instead.
Of couse, if you are smart you predict when they try to use a spell and silence them but the cast range of Blood Rage is not that great. These tanky str heroes wont worry too much about the Blood Rage damage if they are full hp.

8x19 = 152.

4 stat levels gives you 152 HP.

Night stalker and magnus in pro games often use Void and Shockwave to last hit creeps as a ranged hero while still getting the deny experience a melee hero would get, offsetting the ranged advantage other heroes have on them while allowing them to play safer. Also, since they are spells, there is no miss chance if the wave somehow gets pushed into the enemy favor.

Skywrath has yet to be played in pros, so just high level pub plays I have seen that use his nuke (and you might as well, when mid, cast spells anyway to use the bottle you intend to get to it's fullest)

I see why you want to see a Butterfly then but this build is for a ganker, not a carry. You can only become a carry with this build if you find kills in ganks and snowball which actually lets you get the halbard by midgame.

Another reason why we go for the halberd early is because we get lots of stats, remember. Theses stats give us the hp required for the evasion to become worthwile. With 4 statslevels we get about 350 bonus hp. The idea is to be tanky because your points in Blood Bath will be wasted if you dont survive or are so squishy so you overheal (no joke that happens when you kill someone with a Heart of Tarrasque and you only have 1500 hp).

I'm not sure about Magnus, Nightstalker and Skywrath Mage but you have a point with Lina and Zeus since their attack animations are terrible.

See, you are still assuming I am only refering to mid game. This is an incorrect assumption. There is next to no reason to get a Butterfly on any hero in the game, in the mid game. It is not, nor will it ever be, a mid game item. Similarly, Heaven's Halberd is never a mid game item. It is a late game situational item taken on supports for the disarm and HP, and on STR carries who would otherwise lose benefit from a Butterly (60 attack speed and 30 damage isn't worth 5000 gold)

I feel like you assume that butterfly is a powerful item simply because it gives you evasion. When making either Heaven's Halberd or Butterfly, Talisman of Evasion is the last item you buy, every time, because you want everything that the items give you that isn't evasion. Because evasion is to minigate attack damage from opponents who attack fast while assuming you can take their hits. You need more survivability before evasion becomes worth while.

You are absolutely 100% correct that Heaven's Halbert is a better mid game item, but in real games... you don't play the game hoping to snowball, you just take advantage of the opportunity to.

Sorry, but using Bloodrage to harrass is a terrible idea imho. Bloodseeker does not have the mana to do that and the dmg buff you are giving your enemy means they have an easier time to lasthit.

I agree, with one exception. In the mid lane, almost every respectable mid hero is a casting semi-carry/ganker. In cases like Magnus, Zues, Lina, Skywrath Mage, Night Stalker, and other heroes who use their skills for last hitting, getting silence is a very powerful tactic, even if they can last more effectively... they were using their skills to last hit to start with because they otherwise had a hard time doing so.

If you are looking for an anti carry item, the Heaven's Halberd is the better item. You have 25% Evasion, a chance to Maim the target and the Disarm. If you somehow find yourself with 3300 gold in your bank in midgame, buying a Butterfly is not bad but this is not gonna happen every game.

The item progression in this build consists of small cheap items, to benefit your snowballing. With every bit of gold, you get something that lets you snowball a little bit more.
