Lore

In a time of great plague, an obscure monk of dark inclinations, one Rotund'jere, found himself promoted to the rank of Cardinal by the swift death of all his superiors. While others of the order went out to succor the ill, the newly ordained cardinal secluded himself within the Cathedral of Rumusque, busily scheming to acquire the property of dying nobles, promising them spiritual rewards if they signed over their terrestrial domains. As the plague receded to a few stubborn pockets, his behavior came to the attention of the greater order, which found him guilty of heresy and sentenced him to serve in the plague ward, ensorcelled with spells that would ensure him a slow and lingering illness. But they had not counted on his natural immunity. Rotund'jere caught the pox, but instead of dying, found it feeding his power, transforming him into a veritable plague-mage, a Pope of Pestilence. Proclaiming himself the Necrolyte, he travels the world, spreading plague wherever he goes, and growing in terrible power with every village his pestilential presence obliterates.

Introduction

Carry. Support. This is how you win. This build doesn't make necrolyte durable early game.

Before you insult this build for being uncommon... This build has 90% win rate with me. Give it a try before dissing heartstopper, or should I say OPSTOPPER aura.

This build is designed for half carry / half support. Necrolyte plays a better carry than support, but he should still have around 40-50% support on his team.

This build is controversial to a newbie necro player's view, I'll explain why this build works in the next chapter.

Skills

Death pulse. Your most important skill in teamfights. With a 4 second cooldown you WILL keep your team alive at 130 hp every 4 seconds. This should be maxed after heartstopper as you will push and heal very well with this.
Most important skill throughout the whole game. Should be maxed first if you followed along with the build. Your enemies will cower in fear in the corner of the lane and be denied of getting experience and gold because if they go near creeps, their health will be drained by a large amount. The early and mid game is CONTROLLED by necrolyte with this aura.
Only one level needed for the occasional deny and last hit health regen in case you get harassed. This also needs a point early game when you get a hero kill. You'll replenish your entire mana and health pool if you kill a hero, and it provides a decent amount of clarity/tango-like regen for free by just denying or last-hitting. This should be easy to do considering you will have no competition from your enemies because heartstopper will have stopped them from denying/lasthitting.
Your secondary skill throughout the game. Late game this is only used for confirmed kill under 60% health and no buy back. early game this is used to get a confirmed kill very easily as well as 3 second hold duration that can come in handy for hero kills. Scepter should be the item right after bloodstone but you should have won before you get to scepter. The reason for this is because it will drain 1.1 health for each point of health missing. if your enemy has low magic resist with 50% health. THEY'RE DEAD. NO BUYBACKS. GG WP. Simple as that.

Summary

All in all, necrolyte is a VERY good hero for your team because it equals win. Heartstopper is underrated and abused but people are so dense that they never actually stopped to think how powerful it is.
Necrolyte, in my opinion, should be used more in the competitive scene as he's a better support than people think.
If you use this guide and find it helpful, show me comments on how well this build does for you, but please actually test it and give valid reason before saying "heartstopper build delete this guide n00b." Like I said before. 90% necrolyte winrate using this build EVERY game.
Also, The items are so obvious that I don't even need to add an Items chapter.
