Riki is not as op as people think. He could be easily countered with sentry wards and the dreadful gem of true sight (shivers). My goal was to make an OP build for Riki that can counter the counters.
Riki (in my opinion) is best for top and bottom lane. A great way to get this build started is to have a great start early game, buy some healing items. I usually only buy 2 stacks of tengos and 2 healing salves then save up cash for power treads and so forth. If you do not get a good start, then just hope your team will carry you a bit more till you can buy at least yasha.
If the enemy team places sentry wards on the lane you are currently in, there is no problem asking your team to switch lanes, at least until the sentry wards are gone. Also buying your own sentry wards to destroy the enemy's wards is optional but will moderately slow down building other items.
