Its kinda hard to choose between the two skills between in a guide since its situational.
Some lanes will try to kill you and other lanes eill tru to harass you. Just save your skillpoint untill you are in lane.

I do agree that aghanims should be added though. The damage output it gives is insane.

This offlane Timbersaw or safe lane? Either way, you are almost always the ganking target, seeing that you will still melt under that nuking skills [A.K.A Lightning Bolt, Fiend's Grip, Nether Blast, Purification, and many others]. Why not get that Timber Chain first to escape ganks?? After level 2 you can decide to up that Whirling Death or Reactive Armor first.

Timber Chain is the way to go at level 1 ,followed by a level 2 Whirling Death and a level 3 Reactive Armor.

Why?because you start with Stout Shield any ways.
getting a point in armor just when the supports start hurting is a good idea as it deters them from harassing you as you are literally regenerating more than they can hit.
