SKYWRATH MAGE MID GUIDE

Decent guide, good job!

A few notes, just my own thoughts:
I don't consider arcane boots too good (u can't have enough mana for a core sky ), I usually rush BoT with a null talisman + wand or with 2 null talismans and going for ganks only without too much focus on farming.
I usually do this: find a target on some lane, tp to the closest tower, I use all my mana to burst the target down, then I go home and refill my mana. Repeat until I get BoT, then doing the same more often.

Then I have to choose between Rod of Atos(most cases) and Scythe (anti mage, QoP, manta lovers, any elusive hero).

Everything else situational, most often I go for shivas because skywrath's ****ty armor.

And I think aghanim is just the worst ever item on him, too easy to waste your mana with it, u rarely have more then 2400 mana for 3 ulti.



This is not always the case, usually I won mid because skywrath is extremly strong on level 1 and most other mids are weak. Think about SF, very low hp and dmg at lvl 1, if u can pressure him and he can't get last hits, he is done. Same with Storm/Ember/Necrophos, so I almost always go for autoattack+arcane+autoattack harass from lvl 1, with less focus on last hits.

Blade Mail vs pugna is just mean XD. I Love it >:3

Skywrath Mage is unique in that he scales very effectively into the late game because his Ancient Seal amplifies the damage done by Mystic Flare. I agree with the Bloodstone. But Dagon is only ok. It can cause some anger with people and the INT scaling isn't cost effecient later in the game. I would actually rush Eul's after Arcane because you need more mana regen. If you can play cleverly, you won't actually need Rod of Atos' slow...

Harassing with Arcane Bolt is actually kind of a bad idea. Even though it has low mana costs, you will fry your mana quite quickly, even with Bottle. I would save harassing until level 3 with a 2nd level of Arcane Bolt because it does more damage that way. Even then, I would only fire off 1-2 to save mana.

Ancient Seal should be used 1st in almost every encounter. Not only it silences earlier to prevent escape, it also amplifies the damage from Concussive Shot.

Overall, it's a decent guide. Good job with the effort but it could have gone a lot more detail.

I wouldn't consider Eul's a core item, but the rest of the build is pretty solid: I love using the Rod of Atos on him, both for the stats (it also received a pretty good buff in the 6.80 patch) and the active ability that makes Mystic Flare so overpowered. Against Pugna I'd just get a BKB because after an ultimate you're basically dead if there's a Nether Ward nearby, but honestly I've never tried the Blade Mail.
