The item sequence is there and also include the items for the recipes, in order that they should be obtained for best results.
Orchid Malevolence is handy for a lot, it has an extra silence which also deals 25% more damage while under this effect, it has a nice intelligence boost, and extra damage and attack speed, as well as mana regen.
Eul's Scepter is also very handy, in a tough situation you can Cyclone an enemy to escape them, or cyclone yourself if your team is nearby, so the enemy will stay and try to gank you, they may still get you but your team should be able to get a few of them. It also adds movement speed, intelligence and mana regen.
Power Treads will be useful for later use, keep them on blue for an intelligence boost, this will help your Glaives later.
Last must have item is Aghanim's Scepter, this will apply your Curse current level to your ultimate, hitting all enemies on the map, this works well right when your team is about to go in guns blazing.
Your situational items are obvious choices that you make depending on your current game. If you need HP, Bloodstone may be a good choice, if you need magic immunity, try a BKB, if you want to dodge a nuke spell, try a Linkens, if your team needs help with survival, use a Mek, and if you want better escape or would like to try to catch an enemy facing you and force them in near you, try a Force Staff.
You always want to shut down your enemies mana pool early on, many spells are more effective in the first 10 minutes, its essential to pile in your Curse first. I personally prefer to only put in 3 on it as fast as possible, I feel it becomes less effective by the time you can get the forth, so I save that for my last point before stats.
Second is your damage, you have burned their mana, so now they cant really cast, which is why Last Word will do lots of damage, if they cast, it only does a small amount of damage to them, thats why you want to curse them a couple times first. Hit them a few times and cast Last Word on them, it takes a couple seconds to pop on them, but if they run away with low enough HP, pop they are dead. This also removes their right click attack for a couple seconds if they dont cast, so even if they dont die, they cant attack, leaving them vulnerable to death.
Now by level 8 maybe 9 you need to start piling in Glaives, you should have enough intelligence items to make you do tons of damage at this point, once you get it to level 3, make sure you harass heroes like crazy with this, while cursing, then throw down your Last Word and watch them pop and die as they run away.
Your Global Silence is really based on the game, if there arent many spells that can kill fast or no stuns/slows, you can delay your ultimate a couple levels, but this is hardly ever the case. Just make sure you watch your team so you know when to put it up.
Usually you want to stay away from the jungle creeps, they can hurt you a lot in early game, and you want to keep your hp high so you dont die.
Pros:
Very effective almost all game, fairly less effective in very late game, but still good
Should have enough mana regen to cast constantly about half way through game
Using the build and items listed, should be able to escape strong enemies easily
Most items pieces are cheap, making completing a recipe much easier
Cons:
Dies easily early on so stay back enough
Requires a lot of casting and quick hands
