Oh, I forgot - you also mentioned Manta Style would remove an active Static Link - this is also not true, helped me kill an annoying Sniper a few times today to link him before he used it. The link will still be active on the real enemy hero if he mantas while linked. Banishes don't remove it, stuns don't, immunity doesn't...I know of nothing except death or distance that will make it stop.

Thanks Thippo - it was already noted in the guide, Static Link is not purged by magic immunity (i.e. if you cast if first, it keeps working), but you still can't cast it if they're ALREADY magic immune!

You actually can cast it even on a magic immune enemy. I admit I'm not 100% sure it takes damage away from the enemy hero you link (although I think it does), but I am positive you can cast link on an enemy that is at that moment magic immune and it will give you the damage. I did it just today in several games.

If you're fast on the uptake you can get it in first during a fight (esp. if they get stunned or disabled) - Manta Style is more of a problem really, as that does get rid of it when activated.

Mnoi, occasionally I might get Unstable Current earlier in very specific situations (and yes, the purge is good against mid gankers with runes), but as a general rule it's not worth it for ~9 movement speed, minimal slow time and the purge - not when you could have an extra 70 damage from Plasma Field (no extra mana cost) or 50% more damage steal from Static Link (10 mana cost).

I was pretty sure Static Link could be casted through immunity, unless it was nerfed recently. I don't see Razors too often.

EDIT:

That says it can go through magic immunity. I can't find anything about it not going through in recent patch notes.

I think you should put an early point (at level 3 or 4) in unstable current as the purge is really useful (say if they cast a spell on you with a rune). It also helps keep your link up longer before you get phase boots.
