Phantom Lancer The Mega-Carrier Build

Introduction

Phantom Lancer is a AGI carrier who has the power of pushing 2 lanes + farming jungle at the same time, he is an ilusion based hero with an unique playstyle and we are going to look how use Phantom Lancer to its full potential now.

Laning Phase

Starting Items: Your main goal on the laning phase is to quickly get a soul ring + tranquil boots, so you can spam your lance on the enemy while you heal yourself with the boots, doing that you will make the lane very hard to your oponent while you free farm, that is your main goal as Phantom Lancer, farm until you have your core items, dont be afraid of using your phantom lance to kill creeps, since your objective is to farm, and not to save mana, aways save mana for the dopplewalk so you can run from a gank.

Good Partners to your laning phase :
Ezalor : Keeper of The Light > he can replenish your mana and secure your lane.
Dazzle > His slow + heal and grave make your chances of killing the enemy and saving you a good choice to lane with.

Remember that you need every bit of gold that you can get, so dont matter if your partner need 4 creeps to finish his mana boots, you need more.

20s-30s mid game phase

Now you have your yasha/manta + difusal + treads + aquila + vitality booster, its time to push, your ilusion army is enough to push the lane and self-replicate while you farm the jungle with your main hero, and always and i mean ALWAYS keep your tp scroll with you, in case you need to retreat or teamfight, at this point you already are a strong presence on the fights.

Your goal now is to finish a tarrasque and build a butterfly, so dont forget FARM FARM FARM.

take towers when your enemys are away, create your army and send them to FOCUS the tower down, since towers dont regen hp soon or later they will fall, and the best, farming with ilusions have 0% risk of death since you are miles away from the action.

40s- 60s The late Game

Here is where Phantom lancer really do his job, while pushing spam your lance and doplewalk to create more ilusions, when you have 5-7 of them tp away to other lane and do the same
you can keep 2 lanes pushing and go jungle, if your enemys try to push mid, you go bot, take their towers faster tham their all team can do, and when you realise you will be on their tier 3 tower, and they will be on you tier 3 too, so you tp to base, but your ilusions keep doing their jobs, they can take a tower faster than troll warlord or void take yours, since each ilu does 25% of your damage + 2 ilusions doing 33% (manta) so you have 8x .25 + 2x.33 = 2.66 times the damage of your main hero, if you have now 240 damage, with 2 atk per second so you will do 480 dmg/s, your ilusions will be doing 1276 dmg/s. reduced by the tower armor of course, but 10 ilusions can take the tower down in 3 or 4 seconds.

In late game never put your hero in risk, create ilusions and send them up the hill, avoid team fights, the strength of PL is to do damage without taking any damage, set your team to have a strong split push, and follow the strategy.

The items i recomend are the ones who will work on your ilusions too, stacks agility as far as you can, since your ilusions will benefit from that, critical work as well, mana burn, and true strike, are the things that you want for your ilusions to be as efective as they can, remember gem work on ilusions too, so be your team gem keeper, since you will be capable of scouting invi heroes and wards, without any risk.

Good luck and have fun with one of my top 3 heroes.
