I've played LoL for a while and have been loving dota 2. I'm writing this guide to give an easy outline for a relatively easy champion for people in a similar situation to me. Of all the champions I've used so far weaver is my favorite and has given me the most success.
Pros
+ great at escaping
+ great chaser
+ nice harassment
+ amazing late game
+ hard as **** to kill
Cons
- really squishy
- if you get stunned in a team fight, you're basically dead
- ****ty stats
- item dependent
Starting items
healing salve: gives you sustain
tango: more sustain
iron branch: easy stats and builds into magic wand
slippers of agility: easy stats and builds into wraith band
Early game
boots of speed: cheap movement speed bonus, builds into other boots
magic stick: this and magic wand give you great cheap sustain the entire game
wraith band: cheap stats
Core
magic wand: same as magic stick with + 3 all attributes
power treads: more movement speed, a little agility, and some attack speed
sacred relic: gives you a noticeable increase in damage (builds into radiance)
Late game
radiance: good amount of burn damage
butterfly:loads of awesome stats
manta scythe: stats and mirror image
situational
vanguard: if you're being harassed a lot, or if your squishyness is affecting you in any way this should be decent help
divine rapier: it can have great consequences if you die, but if you're super feed, and have the cash, this is a great way to end a game quickly
diffusal blade: gives you mana, one shots summoned enemies, and drains enemy mana
great for destroying nuker's
The Swarm (Q): Your worst ability, not useless but does practically zero damage. When you finally get this, you want it mainly for the sight.
Shukuchi (W): One of the best and most versatile abilities in the game. It's great for escaping, chasing, and harassing. Once it's maxed you can stay invisible longer than visible.
Geminate Attack (E): This gives you faster damage output and makes farming a hell of a lot easier. If you're terrible at last hitting you could arguably max it faster than Shukuchi, but it's not optimal.
Time Lapse (R): It takes a couple of games to learn how to use this optimally, but once you've got the hang of it, it's great. Use it to get out of sticky situations. Remember it sets your stats and you position back.
