HoTD is good because it gives damage an builds directly into Satanic, which is a great late game item for Phantom. It's active also makes stacking ancients easier. The fact that it's slightly cheaper also brings me to my next point;

You can get your battlefury faster. Phantom shouldn't need a BKB early-mid game. She should be farming, and BF will speed this up by an insane amount.
