Lane build

Start with Ring of Protection, Tango's and Salve.

Build Ring Of Protection into Ring Of Basilius as soon as you reach 325 gold. Use your Skeleton Walk to reach the side shop if it's a dangerous lane.

Try to take first blood, any stun followed up by your Searing Arrows should do it, if you have leveled Strafe yet then even better.

Buy Boots Of Speed next, again use Skeleton Walk to pick them up if need be.
At this point you can keep a TP Scroll on you at all times and help out on other lanes if they get pushed or a fight breaks out. Try to stay farming while you can though, you will be roaming soon enough.

Start building your first Oblivion Staff at the side shop. If you feel like you need more mana then get the Sange's Mask first, otherwise go for Quarterstaff first for damage and armour.

Finish your Power Treads.

At this point you can finish your Orchid Malevolence or build Blink Dagger first. I usually conserve mana and go for Blink to get some kills on other lanes, however depending on the line-up silence can be more useful for getting those kills.

Final gear:
BKB is a good option if you're team fighting or split pushing and need protection from stuns and magic damage heros. Generally unless it counters the enemy carry's there's better gear.

Gem: Clinkz is a great Gem carrier, Skeleton Walk's speed means that in a fight between Clinkz and another invisible carry you can usually escape or get the kill. He's also great at counter warding and protecting supports as they ward. Again, don;t get unless it's countering an enemy carry.

Monkey King Bar: Very powerful mini-stun and makes every Searing Arrow count. Bit of a snowball item, lots of people swear by this but generally I think it's a little bit 1 dimensional and would only get it if enemy carry's had some form of evasion.

Daedalus: Super damage item, Crystalys can be built first then finished later if you want some quick crit damage and another item sooner.

Eye Of Skadi: I love this item on Clinkz, now that Searing Arrows are not a unique attack modifier this ensures that nobody escapes the bone fletcher. Synergies well with his abilities and adds to his stats, mana and health too.

Mjollnir: Orb effect stacks with Skadi, adds an AOE to your attacks and also makes you even less desirable as a focus of attacks.

Boots Of Travel: Of course if you're going to six slot you need TP boots, these are useful to buy early if you want to rat the enemy team. With Blink and boots, Clinkz can quite safely push the enemy's towers down solo.

Mid lane build

Two pairs of Slippers Of Agility give you a bit more damage and armour, get two Tango's from a support. Buy your own stack if nobody will share or you feel like you're going to take lots of harass.

Rush Bottle as soon as you can. Skeleton Walk will pretty much mean you always have a rune.

Buy Boots of Speed next, either in a side shop after an early gank or make sure your team leaves you the courier. Getting your boots up as soon as you can is vital for staying alive, you want to avoid having to use all your mana and Bottle charges for regular escapes in lane and save it for kills, dives and ganks.

Buy your Orchid Malevolence next, you can rush the whole thing as your solo farm should be good and hopefully you're pulling ahead with some kills too.

Finish Power Treads.
Build your Blink Dagger next, you can build this before finishing Power Treads if you're snowballing to keep the momentum up.

Buy your BKB now if you're needing one. This will mark a transition from ganking mid laner to team fight carry. Best to buy this if you're the main carry and/or need to counter magic damage and stuns.

Now focus on damage items. Daedalus is a great item, however get a Monkey King Bar instead if you want the true strike to combat evasion. The mini-stun is useful too.

Next get an Eye Of Skadi, unless your team already has lots of slows. This will guarantee enemy's wont get away from you, enabling Strafe to do more work (on more than one hero with Blink re-positioning) plus this gives you more mana and health to play around with.

Mjollnir is your next bit of damage gear, adding a nice AOE to your attacks on top of the insane damage. The best part of this is the added attack speed, it's like having Strafe on all the time and makes getting close enough to kill you a very painful ordeal for the enemy team.

Finally, if you want to six slot then get those Boots Of Travel! Zip around the map with these baby's and Blink to end the game quickly. No tower is safe, and you're a hard bugger to catch!

For games where you get wrecked

Early game, if you're feeling like you're getting zoned out then before buying Treads, Oblivion Staff for Orchid or Blink Dagger get a couple of Wraith Bands and upgrade one into a Ring Of Aquilla. This gives you a nice stat boost that makes all the difference early game and a little mana regen that can be the difference between death and escape. Turn it around before the enemy get's too big a lead and you can just sell these off as an when you need the space.

If you get off to a slow start or end up getting picked on (or maybe you just suck), then a catch up Hand Of Midas is valid, the attack speed is useful and you can jungle pretty well with it and your ult - just stack camps and stay safe with wards covering your jungle.

For a little extra strength Bracer into Drum Of Endurance is better than having no gear, plus the drum will be useful for your team in fights and pushes.

Orchid Malevolence is still core, mana regen plus silence are necessary for survival, if you've had a slow early game and take Midas to catch up best jungle and stay safe until you have this item.

Rod Of Atos is a great cheap item that adds to your mana and health pool with a very useful active for chasing. This is a better option than Blink Dagger if you're getting wrecked, keep getting killed at 2K gold and are thinking to yourself "I'm never going to get this blink dagger up". Slightly more expensive but gives you stats you will need and easier to save up gold 1K at a time.

Black King Bar is a go-to item if the thing wrecking you is stuns and magic damage in team fights. Obviously some abilities go through BKB so check you're not wasting gold on it before deciding to buy. It can also provide an extra layer of escape if the enemy team have gem/stuns.

Sometimes the best option if you're the team feed is just to ward. Clinkz is very good at warding and de-warding. He has range, can ward where the supports would die with his Skeleton Walk and is fast enough to ward and get back with the team before a fight breaks out. If you're struggling for gold or the supports have plenty of gold then supports can buy the wards and let you place them too.

If you manage to pull back then at any point switch back into a more powerful build. Rod Of Atos, BKB, and Orchid Malevolence are all great items and Hand Of Midas will help you farm up a big damage item to get you back on top.
