Rizzrak the Timbersaw is a melee Strength hero that excels in dealing pure damage and causing destruction around the battle field. He is a strong ganker whose spells are low in mana cost, cooldown and can destroy trees in an area around him, as well as inflicting pure damage; this makes him an good counter to magic tanks and high armored heroes. Whirling Death unleashes razor sharp edges that deals magical damage to an area around him and reducing the primary attribute of his enemy hero; if Whirling Death cuts down trees in the process, the damage type becomes pure. Timber Chain allows him to latch himself to a tree, pulling him towards it and dealing pure damage to enemies in his path; the low cooldown and low cost of this ability greatly increases his mobility. Reactive Armor makes him more resistant and resilient, increasing his armor and health regeneration temporarily every time he gets hit by an enemy, stacking up to a maximum level. His ultimate skill, Chakram fires a spinning saw blade at a targeted location, cutting down trees and enemies in its path, dealing AoE pure damage, and slowing his enemies for every 5% health they are missing.
ROLES:
GANKER, INITIATOR, DURABLE
LORE:
Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle's workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit's arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end. The saw-suit was ready.
With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn't like it one bit.

STARTING:
(SUPPORT BUILD)
The reason I have chosen Bottle as a chosen item for Timbersaw is as he is in lane, you can constantly harass your enemy with Whirling Death (around lvl 3 Whirling Death) (note: make sure you hit a tree, as with this ability, when it hits a tree, the magical damage will be turned into pure damage, which will deal more damage as is your intention as a harasser.) And since we all know even though it has a low mana cost, spamming it kills your manapool pretty quickly, which is the reason for bottle.
(TANKING BUILD)
The usual build with a Timbersaw, Stout shield will increase your durability in lane, which will eventually be turned into a Vanguard.
EARLY:
(SUPPORT)
As always, you should buy boots of speed, then you should farm up to get a bracer, which will then be built into Drums, but make sure that ONLY you are farming that Drums, so if someone else is farming for a Drum, you can switch to farming a Soul Ring instead as it gives you a good amount of mana regen, with this you can harass even more and with your passive, it will be easy to get that loss of HP back.
(TANK)
Playing as a tank, your job is too tank all the damage, and with a RoH, your lane durability will increase with all that extra HP REGEN
MID:
(SUPPORT)
Arcane is needed for Timber as his mana pool is quite ****py, and drums is needed as it proves quite useful as this build focuses around supporting your carries.
(TANK)
Playing as a tank, a common item which should always be bought is Vanguard, as it has a chance to block some of the incoming damage from enemies, and now you should be building on your Rod, so not only will you get mana and HP but also slow your enemies by 60% through its active, main reason for this item is to slow them and also get them within Chakrams radius which will slow them for every 5% hp they are missing, meaning that they will be so slow, it's like gorgons "stone gaze"
LATE:
(SUPPORT)
The reason for getting a Divinity is to prepare your Chakram so that when they land, you can use Rod to slow them and make sure they can't escape, so that your team can pick up an easy kill. And as always you should always carry a TP scroll, for any hero, to get back to base if in need of major healing.
(TANK)
Seeing as your a tank, you should be aiming for HP regen, gain items.
Pros:
Great ganker
Low cooldowns
Very durable mid/late game
Spammable nuke (which can be pure damage)
Has an escape mechanism
Cons:
Very High Mana Usage
Is useless against mana burners
Needs trees, to escape and deal pure damage
AMAZING ALLIES:
Enigma
Magnus
AOE Stunners/Disablers
GOOD ALLIES:
Rylai
HORRIBLE ALLIES:
Furion
HORRIBLE ENEMIES:
Anyone with a Silence
Mana Burners
Kunkka.... definitely Kunkka...
As always if you are playing Timbersaw, positioning is the most important thing that you should be worrying about, Timbersaw is an extremely mobile kill-oriented / ganker style hero that relies heavily on positioning. He is easily one of the most unique heroes in the DotA hero pool, with a skill set that allows him to make some serious use of all the destructible trees on the map. make sure you always get this right if you want to be a good Timbersaw. Use Divinity first to secure a hero then position Chakram then wait for then to land them slow them with Rod and boom! got yourself an easy kill right there. But during laning phases, if your playing as a support type, remember to let the carry farm while you deny, harass, and with your passive, it should be quite easy. If you are not so good at positioning or ganking, then I'm afraid you read this far for nothing ^^
Thanks to reading my guide to Timbersaw, constructive criticism would be obliged :3 doop doop beep beep boop! and although even if your not good at ganking, Goblin isn't overall that hard to play. well good luck! :3
