Introduction

Lifestealer is one of the best and the most versatile carries. He can jungle, agressive trilane, solo and defensive trilane perfectly. He is known for destroying high HP targets and his ultimate lane presence.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ Has natural BKB, Lifesteal and Slow
+ Can infest in initiators for N'aix bombs
+ Above average movespeed
+ Very high base strength

Cons:

- Can be countered by silence before his
Rage
- Low starting armor
- Can be kited
- Low strength gain for strength hero
- No reliable lockdown

Skillbuild Discussion

Since recent range nerf on Open Wounds you must put some early points in it to gain good range to initiate on enemy thus delaying maxing Rage, but feel free to alter skillbuild depending on opposing heroes. Get early level in Feast and leave it till levels 12-14, because of its poor scaling.

Playstyle and item choices

Early on dont be afraid to trade hits with enemy as you have lifesteal and good damage, but make sure not to over extend so you dont get punished. Try to lasthit as much as possible and control your lane, you must not miss any lasthits because of your high base damage. After Phase Boots u hit really hard and have that massive movespeed advantage over your enemy. As soon as kill opportunity presents itself go in and most of the time you should be able to net an easy kill with help of your allies. After Drum of Endurance initiation becomes easy due to your high movespeed and no enemy will be able to escape so try to pick off isolated heroes. When you get Armlet of Mordiggian you become a killing machine. From here builds may differ, special mention must be given to Sange and Yasha which turns you into a racecar lifestealer and gives good overall stats.

Friends and Foes

Friends:

Heroes with mobility like Queen of Pain Puck Storm Spirit and those who get Blink Dagger for example Tidehunter Magnus Centaur Warrunner for Infest bombs.
But the best thing to do is get an illusion rune and infest in one of the illusions. Start attacking enemy and when they notice its illusion and kill it u pop out to avenge your illusion.

Foes:

Heroes which can disable you through rage or mobile ones. Bane with his Fiend's Grip goes through magic immunity aswell as Beastmaster's Primal Roar, Enigma's Black Hole and few other ones. If you want to learn more about magic immunity and spells that go through it visit this page.
Your enemy can get Ghost Scepter, while it gets activated be sure to switch targets so you can do damage and gain health.

Future Plans

Im going to update and add more information to my guide, feel free to suggest things as im welcome to constructive criticism.
