Blood stone is pretty much a REQUIRED item for timber saw, no other item has mana regen like it, if you are ever going to get it, 20 minutes is the latest for competitive high level game, I guess an extra five for pubs.

This guy has only been in 2 competitive games that I'm aware of, one of which he didn't get bloodstone at 20 min. He's very unpopular in competitive games. However Dendi gets just a bottle and in pubs. Timbersaw really doesn't have a competitive build.
About the build however, medallion and veil are awful as neither really improve his power, buckler really isn't that useful, and that other stuff can come after bloodstone, as he needs his mana bad.

Otherwise, you should the be going for a few of the items listed under mid options as your team requires an in put from you, however the real timber saw shines with the bloodstone, which is normally achieved with a solid farm to level6/7 then multiple ganks as his burst damage is pretty much unbeatable early game.

I agree with Atlas. What I do is I dissassemble the mana boots for my bloodstone and by Phase Boots for the extra damage. I then go for Shiva's Guard if the game isn't already over because of my awesome kills with Timber Chain.

Certainly. I only get 1 (or sometimes none) of the optional items the majority of the time.
