Huskar: all-game domination

Introduction

Hi all! I've seen many guides on here, but none seem to quite empasize what Huskar is and what he does well. He is an effective laner, great ganker, and end game carry beast. Starting with a 0 cost, 0 cool down orb gives him great lane control. An ultimate that will take a hero to half health AND slow them makes him a gank threat. Late game, Huskar with lifesteal will be attacking fast enough that he will recover all the damage he takes from a hero. So let's get to it!

Pros / Cons

Fun!
Intuitive!
Ranged strength!
Self-heal!
Cheap core.
Grows stronger as you get closer to death!
Tanky!
Carry!
Can solo Rosh around 14.

Can die.
Tends to be focused on.
Ult can make you feed.

Laning

Huskar is ranged, but note that it is short range. Huskar does not like to lane mid--but he can. Put in a side lane, however, is where Huskar excels. He will be able to harass melee heroes until 6, when he starts to roam and gank. Because of this, never offer to take mid, but go there if your team wants.

If mid, make sure you try to rune-*****, and at 6, start ganking.

If bot, harass with burning spear (below) and farm.

Skills

Lets start with the skills and what we get.

Burning spear is first. We start with one point because it not only harasses AS AN ORB, but is mana free. Ideally, you know how to ORB WALK or google a guide on ORB WALKING. This will make it so you can harass without drawing creep agro. If you are laning with a stunner or a slower, you have a good chance at FIRST BLOOD. Also, this stacks, and does a small amount of Damage Over Time. When ganking, I like to turn this on autocast.

We only get one level of this, though, as lifesteal overrides it, and late game, is more important. But a free orb walk early game is too good to pass up.

Next, max Berserker's Blood. It makes you attack faster, harder, the more health you are missing. With this, you generally want to be around the 50-80% health range (after Ult).

Max Inner Vitality next. When cast on yourself, if will help counter the affects of burning spear, and keep you alive. It scales, too with your stats, so it does nice healing late game.

Get your ult whenever possible. Not only does the CD decrease, but so does the amount of health you have to sacrifice.

Items

Armlet is the best item for Huskar. I often rush that before boots. I always get my Helm of Iron Will first for some regen and armor, and then the other pieces.

Let's look at what armlet does for Huskar.

    Faster attack speed
    More damage
    More strength=more health and damage
    Drain effect triggers Berserker's Blood
And it's cheap! I like to hot key mine to the space bar. I hit my ult, as I'm jumping I turn on the armlet, then proceed to kill. It's great. I try to have this by 10-20 minutes. Everything is cheap, so you shouldn't have a hard time.

Next, get some power treads. I like the attack speed and extra health more than the move boost from Phase Boots. Life Break is sufficient for me to catch up to the enemy, so I find the phase wasted. BUT, I can't say this is a bad item. Go for it if you like. Get by 15-25 mark.

Finally, lifesteal. You should have this by Level 14 or so, around the 20-30 minute mark. Once you get this, turn off Burning spear. You're at the point where the DPS done to you during the stuns won't kill you, and lifesteal becomes viable. Moreover, you can now go rosh. Turn on the armlet, IV yourself, and tank him. You should last long enough to IV yourself a second time. Grab the Aegis and run after killing him
