Skeleton Walk already has a phase component to it. Having the extra int and attackspead with treads is much more useful in my opinion. That said, I might give Phase a try some time just to see.

If you are forced into becoming that glass cannon then I recommend a dragon lance, purely because you are only acting as a Drow or Sniper and you could easily be matches against one. The Dragon Lance prevents them from using that range advantage to kill you because, as a result of tour increased range they're dragged closer to the fight to kill you allowing your team mates to get an easy kill on a distracted carry -- you may still die if you are unable to skeleton walk away but it would be carry for carry and you would have disjointed the fight leaving your team with an advantage for the remainder of the scrap.
Thats a really good guide with the good explanation why sheepstick and all i have tried all of it.
As when silenced they can easily tp out.
You have to farm somewhat more than usual to get it but its worth it.
Man also i think a creep clear ability like a mojo should be included too.
