You can't channel the ulti in the fade time. -1 for bad advice. You can't make a guide if you don't know about this kind of things.

You shouldn't be using your abilities in a way as to need the Mana boots. I find that I usually get 5 or 6 uses out of them before my mana pool gets large enough as to not need mana boots, so I find them quite redundant. However, some people prefer these boots to others, so to each their own
