"The above method of playing Doom is rarely efficient, and rarely what the team needs"
Meh ,kinda sums up my playstyle.

I am on a 7 game winning streak using this build. This really is a great guide.

I have even out carried heroes like Lycan, LC and even a Void.

Pretty useful guide
Going 1st for Midas and then the core takes forever. The game is already set, before Lucifer is ready.

Couple of question- What do you do if Golems appear? Run away or take them no matter at which level Lucifer is? And also do you recommend Vladimir's Offering on him for early-mid periods?

Great guide +1
have you thought about getting a ring of basilus first to give mana regen and extra armor and then disassembling it to make soul ring ?

Great guide, i've been trying jungle Doom a lot recently, going for Midas, and it never seems to really work. This, however, totally makes sense, and I will definately try this out next game I play. Really appreciate it, +1!

EDIT: I just played a few games using this guide, and even though my team got more or less crushed, it wasnt really my fault that we ended up losing (low skill pubs :P), but I was quite fat with a few kills under my belt. So... it probably works, but I just got outplayed. Still quite noob, but I'm getting there!

Can u post up some replays? I've tried to do this in practise games but I can't seem to keep my mana and hp up while jungling and end up having to go fountain. Would be great i
f u could demonstrate for me on a replay.

I'll play some more jungle Doom tonight and post a replay or two. I still don't think I'm being as efficient as I can in the jungle (when I go midas it's ~7 minutes and I've heard people get it sooner), so I was holding off on making a video for now.

Actually, I have a question on the tranquils - do you disassemble them to build the soul ring? If that's the case I might try that out if I'm getting bad spawns.

Depends what I'm going for; Sometimes I keep them and make the Soul Ring separately, other times I disassemble them to make Soul Ring and Ring of Basilius (or even just sell the Ring of Protection).

Hell, sometimes I even disassemble them to make Soul Ring and then make Tranquil Boots again... lol. They synergize well together and the boots have good movement speed. Depends on the lanes and whether me ganking would actually be worthwhile/successful or if I'm just better off farming.

Great guide. I completely agree with "COST EFFECTIVE > FINISHED ITEMS", especially since Doom has great STR gain and a pathetic amount of armor...

-Have you tried rushing tranquil boots?-
In 7 minutes I'll be lvl 6, have Tranquil Boots and Soul Ring. I only use Scorched Earth once (if at all) and sometimes I even have tranquil boots before I'm done with my tangoes (I get shield+quelling+tangoes). You can activate the boots while taking damage from neutrals, and that extra +3 armor goes a really long way.

I have never run out of mana before getting Soul Ring, and never have to go back to the well.

By the way, I think you should add Scythe of Vyse under "Notable Situational Pickups".

Yeah, the idea behind the raw platemail is that he could really use the armor, and AC is such an awesome item. I sometimes go for sange first, really depends on the situation. Point is though, there's no point in having a heart in your inventory until you've got some armor to make it more worthwhile. The idea behind the build is to tank up, and Platemail/Vit Booster/Sange all build into items I plan on getting, and they're good base items to tank him up as early as possible.

I've never tried Tranquil boots. Like I said, I used to go treads for more tankiness, but lately I've been feeling like Phase are basically required. With the way I build him, I end up either having to kite or having to chase, so I've been finding him unusable without phase or travels.

Basically, as far as healing goes - I'm curious why you get tangoes seeing as salve heals more hp. Either way, by the time I get soul ring I've either had to use 0, 1, or 2 salves. Usually only 2 salves if there's an ursa camp involved and you never get a Satyr. While I find it's best to replace the Satyr Aura to kill creeps, having it for even a minute is over half a salve.

When I was rushing midas I had to make well trips, and that's the point of getting soul ring. At worst, you barely run out of regen and mana by the time it gets to you, and at best it just lets you spam stuff more because you're having some good spawns. Once you have soul ring you can spam Scorched Earth with reckless abandon. My general thought process now is that if I'm making a fountain trip on a jungler (unless it's after a gank) I'm not jungling right. They take so long and you're already hurting for exp compared to the rest of the map.

I'm not sure on the Sheepstick thing personally, never tried it but he's already got the best disable in the game so it feels a tad too niche for me.
