Clarity on Lion? 3 of them? Umad, bro. Bloodstone? Jessus Christ, u are a ****ing Lion, why do u need so much mana regen? Just drain nearest ranged creep and u re good to go.

some criticism about the guide.

dont blindly go for force staff, instead choose between blink and force. blink is a much better offensive item that allows you to set up great ganks. force should mostly be gotten instead if you are facing heroes like clockwerk, riki and various heroes with slows.

i dont get why so many people buy mek on lion, i think its because its in the standard dota build.... but i wouldnt ever get it because he doesnt have the flat manapool for it. especially now that mek costs more mana. yes he has great regen with mana drain, but you cant use all your spells and mek rapidly after eachother.
also BLINK/FORCE IS WAY BETTER TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON.

bloodstone..... you shouldnt get this item EVER when playing support.... the HP is unneeded, the regen is unneeded because of manadrain and tranquils, the active....... well its decent but the damn thing is so expensive. and if you want the manapool you can buy other items that are way more usefull.

also KS'ing is fine unless you waste the finger completely, lion uses the gold well, and a kill doesnt really make a difference for a farming core.

i dont really agree with the skillbuild too. leveling mana drain over hex is fine since it is a good skill, but leaving impale at level 1 untill 5? that is way too late. the stun increase is way too important for that.

Some good support points, but I have one question, why buy three clarities at the begining of the game ?
Lion is a support who can (since the level 2) have mana drain, and with that spell he isn't really mana dependant. So I think it will be clearly better, instead of purchasing three clarities, spending your money in branches. They will give you some hp, damage, regen and can be upgraded in a magic stick which is a great item for a support.
You can buy one pack of tangoes 125, wards or courrier 150, one clarity 50, 3 branch 150, one healing salve 110 = 585g.
Or tangoes 125, wards and courrier 300, one clarity 50, 3 branch 150 = 625g
If u want a ring of protection to have fast tranquil boots you can go for : tango 125, wards or courrier 150, one clarity 50, 2 branch 100 and one ring 200 = 625g

But my own build for Lion, I recommend, is to start with one pack of tangoes 125 + ward or courrier 150 + 3 branch 150 + one ring of protection 200 = 625g, and to use mana drain as soon as you've the opportunity.
I think it would be enough for the begining of the game.

Lion can take the pusher role if he is allowed to get an early Agh's. Finger of death one shots creep waves and has low cd(20 sec), also Spike pushes good too.
